With our local foodie heaven now inaccessible to me we found a replacement that is suprisingly good. The menu would be a challenge for anyone who doesn't appreciate fine dining but we are always ready for new ideas. The staff were attentive and very knowledgeable...More

Birthday lunch but just low key on our part. The room was lovely with the sun coming through. Perfectly cooked lamb sweetbreads and mackerel for starters. Hangar steak and chips simple but well done. The selection of wines by the glass is excellent for an...More

It's a shame that you've given our pub such a poor review based on a menu that you didn't actually eat from; I find it hard to understand how you can find food over-priced / poor when you haven't eaten it. We're sorry to hear...More

Tried this restaurant last Wednesday lunchtime. To be honest, parking was a problem, but were told there was parking 'around the back'. Lovely bar area. Seemed to be a few rooms for the restaurant, so we found a table and had a drink while we...More

Description
First and foremost, our pub is a thriving local watering hole that has been keeping locals’ thirst at bay for over 300 years. We have a range of great ales, interesting wines, homemade seasonal drinks and a small, daily changing bar menu. Alongside the bar, we offer a small, daily changing, seasonal menu in our dining room. We use the very best produce that the Vale of Glamorgan has to offer. The produce available to us from the best Vale producers, our own kitchen garden and our smallholding up the lane, dictate what is on the menu from day to day. Everything is made from scratch in our kitchen, from our own sourdough bread and cultured butter, to our charcuterie and fresh pasta. This is not pretentious fine dining; its just about good food, whether you’ve been for a long walk with your dog or have got something to celebrate. It is a type of regional Welsh cooking.
