a lovely surprise

We were lucky enough to be driven around Skye on a trip last year, our morning ended up at the Red Roof Café Gallery. A small building in what seemed the middle of no where. I was surprised when we went inside how busy it was. It was a hive of activity. We were lucky to get the last table... read more

We came upon this lovely cafe when exploring North West Skye. Although quite isolated there was good signage (and no where else to eat). The cafe was busy and has a simple menu of delicious fresh, homemade and healthy food options, and the staff were very friendly. Thoroughly recommend if in the area!

Fantastic cake and a friendly welcome a good cuppa albeit in a teapot with an egg timer! :-) We were lucky to find it still open as it was its penultimate opening of the season. It was nearly full though!

This is a charming wee cafe and gallery run by a young, talented, and clearly dedicated, team. Their passion for good, honest, wholesome cooking and baking shines through. Great coffee too. The cafe uses local produce whenever it can, and also showcases the work of local artists and craftspeople. A big thumbs up from me.

North West Skye has always been one of my favourite places in the world. Dunvegan, Waternish, Harlosh, Colbost, Neist Point, Vatten, Feorlig and Roag - all names with such happy memories. Every summer my Granny and Seanair would pack up their Ford Capri and head off to their caravan for a summer in Skye. Memories of milk straight from the... More

This was recommended by a local & although I wasn't sure I was on the right road (it felt more than a mile). I am really glad I kept going. It is small & was very busy - the food & coffee were great - fabulous scones & gingerbread cake. The orange curd was delicious. Everything was just a little... More

Over two visits, the flat white coffee was excellent. ...made with care and experience. We also took the Fisherman's and Crofter 's platters for lunch....again excellent and complimented with homemade bread and oatcakes. Great experience from all team.
