Been visiting here for years (30?!). Thought it time to write a review as always have a great visit...whether just an icecream or coffee or cake......list goes on. Lovely Italian gelateria...staff friendly and Maurice (owner) keeping an eye ...quite often behind the counter too. Coffee always hot.....unlike some other Italian cafes nearby..... Sit outside on a sunny Broadstairs day and... More

We loved the style and furniture of this retro Italian-looking cafe. It is situated in the heart of Broadstairs' promenade overlooking the channel, and is fronted with a range of delicious-looking Italian ice-cream. However, we found the food to be very disappointing and with sad looking mass produced savoury products in the display cabinets. The cannoli were bland and horribly... More

Here you get an excellent ice cream for - frankly - a higher price than usual (2BP per ball), but the balls are a bit larger than usual as well and taste brilliantly. You have to stay away at peak times (folk week) due to too much queueing. But worth the time!!!

It was only by luck that I discovered this parlour - I was just strolling to have a look at the art and card shop on a hot day, then the Italian Ice-cream sign caught my eyes -I have never known that this place existed! We tried tiramisu and biscuit and they were both lovely. The choice of flavours are... More

We wanted afternoon coffee and cake for 5 people. It was about 4.45 and the choice of cake was terrible. It took ages to decide on which of the left-overs we wanted. Then we saw coffee gateaux and chocolate choux buns on the counter at the back but we were told we could not have any of those as they... More

We popped along in Folk Week, as our usual choice was packed out with a huge queue outside. Chiappini's was very quiet and we got an ice cream for our daughter and asked to pay inside along with a coffee and a tea. No, this was not allowed. We had to pay twice, once at the window for an ice... More

The best ice cream in Broadstairs that should not be missed. Also make a mean cup of coffee and excellent milk shakes. If you are there at coffee time try one of their cakes as well. I had one of the best pieces of apple a nd blackberry tart I have had and that includes my wife!

Whilst the ice cream was lovely I thought £2.50 each for a glass of orange squash was really expensive and the service was not as good as before came to over £18 for 2 kids sundaes and an adult which I didn't mind as the ice cream was good it was just the drinks were a lot and I didn't... More

How nice to find an ice cream parlour which provides plenty of outdoor seating as well - and what views! Looking out over Viking Bay who could ask for more?

Thank Colin S
