A nice place, good views with a nice menu and fair wine list. I feel if fully booked it would appear cramped as tables set extremely close to each other. We had 2 mains, one a la carte and the second a special. My Monkfish curry was a little bland, no heat whatsoever and just lacking any curry influence which... More

We were staying in the Thanet area and decided to try this restaurant as we wanted to try some local seafood. The décor is wonderfully old school and typically unpretentious and so is the food: generous portions, simple food, unfussy recipes. We started with some oysters (very fresh) and followed up with main courses of Bass and Skate, both of... More

Fantastic seafood platter and fantastic service. The grand platter was huge and the rose wine delicious. We will definitely be back soon.

Haven't been for some time, current reviews suggest it's pretty good, so chose to go at the end of Bank Holiday weekend. The menu is predictably fish/seafood. The setting is harbour based and attractive. The pub beneath sells excellent beers. I sampled the current guest ale at our table.....tremendous. The House wine list is reasonably priced, the food prices are... More

On our walk in the morning, we saw the fish being delivered and our dinner in the evening was fabulous. Oysters, mussels, Dover sole all zingy and fresh and cooked to perfection. The chef here knows exactly what he's doing. . Plus the ladies who served us were soooo lovely. But make sure you book ahead as it's very popular.

A 2 minute walk from our hotel (Bleak House) we dined on mouth watering seafood with stunning views from the 300 year old building. Excellent service by attentive staff made this an enjoyable experience on two consecutive evenings.

We showed up without a reservation but the staff were happy to accomidate. The restaurant is upstairs above the pub. Room felt very warm and both the staff and locals made you feel very relaxed. Food was lovely. Nice sized portions of food. Nice selection of wines. The restaurant is right by the harbour so after a lovely meal, it's... More

This is our favorite restaurant in Broadstairs and until now has never been a disappointment. On this visit it wasn't that busy but the service was very hit and miss. The crab starters, when we got them, where not up to the usual standard and in fact tasted a little strange, the duck main course was over cooked and tough.... More

Beautiful weather for an outing to Broadstairs, I made a fairly last minute early lunch reservation with friends living in Westgate and I was relieved to find a parking space very close to the restaurant on the sea front. This is a charming restaurant up steep stairs sitting above a rather unprepossessing bar and snack bar as the entrance. First... More
