Had lunch here with friends recently. I opted for the Monkfish Goujons which was served with salad and chips. This is where my gripe comes in. The presentation on the plate was extremely poor.....A little bit of imagination would have made this a good dish. Seriously! one leaf of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes cut in half adorned the plate... More

Used to like this place but sadly things change. Was in there for lunch and was told to move seat (not asked) just in case they got busy!!! All I wanted was to eat my lunch and read paper. Couldn't read paper because table I was rudely moved to was only big enough for plate and jug. Can't enjoy it... More

Not great, sandwich very thrown together and the soup was extremely bland . Very typical cheap ingredients used no good quality . Wouldn't recommend . Staff were nice tho .came with very greasy twist fries .

This is an excellent restaurant in the middle of Dungarvan town. It is very popular with the locals. Food is good and prices are not too bad. Menu is very varied.

I would recommend this place any time. Two things I would recommend. The irish stew and the pork chops. This could cost around 12 to 15e each. Lovely place. Closed on Sundays.

We were greeted by very pleasant and friendly staff. The portions were hearty and value for money. We will most definitely return. The fish one of us had was excellent. The mince pie was very taste. Both of the deserts were delicious.

Stopped here for a quick lunch food was ok. It may need a little bit more love. The mash potatoe was beutiful and the salad. But the mains of hake and quiche were not great. The staff were so lovely and helpful

This restaurant achieves high marks usually and therefore is one of choice given its central location, attention to detail, relaxed but vibrant atmosphere. I have eaten here before and could not find fault. However on my recent visit I was underwhelmed. Pasta with chicken and bacon sounded just right on the day and was promptly ordered. Oh dear, over processed... More

My daughter and I stopped for tea here. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable. The staff were efficient and friendly. My daughter loved the warm chocolate brownie cake.

I went to The Shamrock the past two nights for dinner and loved it! The service was terrific and the food was wonderful. The first night I had the homemade fish cakes, while the second night it was the steak pie. Both meals were delicious. And the amount of food given, wow! Definitely will be going again the next time... More
