We had the pleasure to eat at the restaurant some years ago. This year we returned to the area and ate there twice for dinner. The food is great. The price for this quality is excellent. We hope to come back!!

Have been visiting this restaurant every year when in Tuscany and never disappointed. Not at all touristy and good value.

We just came back from a trip to the Castel Del Bosco region of Tuscany. We came upon this little restaurant. It was by far, the best meal we had during our stay. We liked it so much, we went back for our last night before coming home. As others have stated, this is not a tourist destination. You will... More

we visited in june of 2012 and really enjoyed the back courtyard! it is nice and intimate-- perfect for a group of four! we loved the fried dough balls served at the beginning of the meal! the walnut cream sauce is not to be missed nor is the penne with the roasted red pepper sauce!

We have been coming to il Borgo di Colleoli for about 12 years now and thought that we had searched out most of the decent restaurants- but we missed this one. Not surprising though as we have passed it dozens of times it does not jump out at you as a restaurant and I am always looking out for the... More

You are more likely to find the local Italians here than the tourists, which is what make it a lovely restaurant. Simple honest good Italian food at reasonable prices. A convenient car park across the road means you don't have to risk parking in the limited car park for the restaurant. The food is always good and freshly prepared and... More

This restaurant in La Rotta serves simple but quality food. The dough balls served free are very moorish and make a nice start to the meal. I usually order the scaloppina al limone as it is a light and very tasty meal. This time however they had not been able to get any veal at the market so the chef... More

Not a tourist spot this one in La Rotta. Quiet, friendly Tuscan restaurant with excellent local food and good friendly service. We've been eating here for almost 10 years now when over on holiday and it never disappoints. Recommended.

This is a simple no frills restaurant that plays to its strengths. It provides good wholesome food that is freshly prepared. The staff are excellent and the young lady who fronts the team speaks excellent English. This is not a pretentious place but there is a nice atmosphere where you can eat and drink for a modest price. Really good... More

We stayed really near this restaurant. We even went twice. We loved it. Our favorites were the house wine, the fried dough appetizer which was served like bread at the beginning of the meal, the walnut cream gnocchi, the steaks and the red pepper cream pasta. The service was excellent and chef made sure we were happy. We dined outside... More
