Dropped there for a lunch as we were passing through Montalcino. Could have picked better. My beef in brunello sauce was not the best, the meat was Ok, but the sauce was just sour. My wife had roasted chicken, that was dry. It was not bad but I guess there are some better options in Montalcino. Prices are reasonable.

Dropped for lunch and the pasta with truffles was very good. Simple, unpretentious Italian restaurant. Nothing fancy, just good food.

The restaurant was full, not just with tourist which is good sign. Just like the good smells. As the place was full and the weather was not that cold, we took seat outside. We ordered only two meat dishes with french fries, but they were more than enough. Both the wild boar and the beef were well prepared (soft meat... More

I strongly recommend this trattoria. The food was out of this world; the fish and pasta with prawns left me wanting more and more. Don't skip dessert and an espresso

I am really glad we stopped by Montalcino in our way from Rome to Siena. And even happier to have found the Trattoria l'Angolo. The city and the surroundings are famous for the wine and the truffles, so I ordered the most simple dish, a Tagliolini al Tartufo. Even the smell was amazing, but the taste was even better. I... Stopped here for a quick lunch and was so glad that we picked this place! There were locals eating and that is always a good sign for me! My husband had the mushroom ravioli with truffle and I had the pasta with Brunello ragu! We were not disappointed and split them. The mushroom ravioli was rich and so the tomato/Brunello... More

An excellent 'local'. We came for a quick lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The strozzapreti with a meat ragu with brunello was first class. Simple roast chicken was as good as it gets. We visit Montalcino regularly and will certainly come back here.

Ok listen this is very traditional restaurant in the heart of the city. You must go there if you visit Montepulciano for sure. Best homemade pasta with amazing sauces. Try garlic pasta with Tomato and Ragu for sure. Also mushrooms with Gorgonzola are delicious.
