What a choice, exceptional food, tried numerous places then found San Allote and kept coming back, Nicki is the chef and by god he knows how to cook Greek food, Dimitra is a wonderful hostess with a beautiful personality and very knowledgeable about all dishes...on the menu, she actually managed to persuade my hubby to try different Greek dishes ( I have tried for years without much success) and believe me he loved every dish, Thank you both very much XXXMore

What an amazing find. This restaurant is THE BEST. Having spent a week in Ialyssos we were told that San Allote was worth a try. How true that is. The best food we’ve had since we arrived and the best moussaka I’ve ever had in...45 years of visiting Greece. My friend had the lamb kleftico and that was also amazing - no bones or fat, but tender, melt in the mouth lamb. The service was amazing with the hostess making you feel like an old friend and her husband doing the cooking. The wine was lovely and we got a complimentary dessert and drink at the end too. Not expensive at all and we have decided to spend our last 2 nights at San Allote to sample some more of their amazing food. Do try this restaurant if you are in the area. It is truly amazing.More

Went here 4 or 5 times during our holiday and every single meal we had was great. One plate the Moussaka was the best I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few. The service is what puts this restaurant in a league of...its over, friendly helpful and enthusiastic. A family business it is obvious that a lot of love goes into everything on offer. The wine perfectly chilled, the food of the best quality and the atmosphere just as you would like of a greek taverna. Portions were just right and all the recommendations were 10/10 put yourself in Dimitras hands and she and her husband will feed you royally. This restaurant is what will take us back ti Ialyssos....More

Dimitra, the hostess,is the warmest person we have met, the chef is her husband and very friendly too,you have the feeling of eating with friends. On the first visit we ate starter, main course, dessert, every dish is a poem, we all had typical greek dishes, the favorite was the...stifado,unfortunately there were no more baked potatoes, Dimitra apologized andwe had a great conversation about"Ofenkartoffeln"Dimithra explains that Greeks only order several starters and eat same together. on our second visit, table reservation family baked potato,we asked D.to choose starters for us,and we were surprised and enthusiastic about the selection all sauces are good to kneel down, the bowls have been rubbed with bread delicious food, family atmosphere, fair prices and chocolate souffle as a heavenly conclusion that everything is good that is San Allote, enjoyment Polla efcharistoMore

Adjoining a much larger establishment but dont overlook this lovely restaurant. Well priced for the area. Food was nicely prepared and the house white was very palatable. Friendly service.

We stayed in Ialysos for 12 nights and visited this special place on our 3rd night. The food was fabulous and the prices were very reasonable. What made it extra special was the way we were welcomed and treated throughout our visit. Dimitra was very...attentive as though we were more than just customers, we spoke about a spinach and feta pie I had tried elsewhere but was off the menu because of the current situation. She promised to make 1 for our next visit and it was delicious. I also tried Soutzoukakia for the 1st time and it won't be my last. We visited again on our last night there and once again the food and service were 1st class. I always try and support family run restaurants rather than large chains and i'm so glad I did on this occasion. If you get the chance to visit this establishment you will want to return. Thank you Dimitra & NikosMore

Visited this restaurant 3 times during our stay in Ialyssos. Excellent food and friendly service. Visited last year also and standards are still exceptional. We will keep supporting this restaurant along with the other independent eateries. Mussels a la crème and the chicken and pork...starters with rice cannot be faulted.More
