This place is absolutely incredible. The food is 10/10 and the value for money is even better. I highly recommend anyone visiting Rhodes town to find this place. The owner is funny and welcoming and the chef who prepares the incredible meat is very friendly...also. Simply delicious!More

It is pleasantly surprised how our experience from Ampelos restaurant made our holiday perfect! Vacation is not just about destination. Its about people and experiences as well. Ampelos restaurant is authentic Greek cuisine with domestic atmosphere and unique positive energy. Food is served in more...than enough portions, wonderfully designed and served with friendly energy. Spacial part of our experience is restaurant stuff, especially Mr Petros. We felt like at home and enjoyed our meals in the best way, made wonderful friendships with restaurant stuff, that made our holiday even more beautiful. We stayed in the Atlantis city hotel where Ampelos restaurant is located in the ground floor. As a guests of the hotel, food included in HB booking was amazing, carefully chosen, with domestic tastes and best tastes from Greeece. Variety of food made wide offer for all tastes. Ampelos restaurant is a special experience of our holiday restaurant that we didnt expected and wonderful memory from Rhodes that made our hart warm. Its a perfect recommendation.More

So, our first day on Rhodes we were exploring near our hotel. The gentlemen at his reataurant sat down with us to chat for a while while we shared wine. Very informative and friendly. Of course, returned, as promised, for a lovely dinner. We ordered...too much food. Started with an order of dolmades, ate 3 of the 8, took rest to hotel refrigerator. My husband enjoyed his big pork gyro plate, while I enjoyed a moussaka, less than usual tomato in sauce. Had a great time. Around the corner from pedestrian street, worth the little walk.More

If you like a lot of food then this is the place for you. Owned by a man who speaks Swedish and is very nice. We ate some type of grilled pork and for starters we chose fried cheese and pita bread. For the meal...we drank a mid-range Greek wine which was perfectly ok.More

We where curious because some people complained. We tried tzaziki with pita and lamb with patatos . The houswine red was verry good. Food was also verry nice. Not excellent but verry good for a normal meal. Better than a lot of restaurants we tried...until now with much better revieuws. Not all restaurants are as good as the reviews. This one is a lot better as you suspectMore

Visited the restaurant with my husband having no information or reading reviews in advance. The place looks good and was full of people. We ordered linguini with prawns and mussels plus chicken breast ala creme with rice. After waiting for an hour and asking the...waiter about the order we were told that “you had to wait a lot for taking the order and now it is being cooked, so it is not an hour” - that was the excuse. After ten minutes we got the dishes - chicken was ok but linguini should be called “with prawns and NO mussels”. After saying and showing that to the waiter it was taken back to the kitchen to add some. After another 10 minutes I got the same dish with MUSHROOMS. Honestly we were not ready to argue once again so after 90 minutes of waiting I ate overcooked pasta with prawns and mushrooms. Finishing touch: the manager asked if we would like to add tips and did not ask about anything else or ask for excuse. Never will be back.More

Staff were warm and welcoming. But was expecting better food for the price. €3.40 for a 200ml bottle of Fanta. Ouch! Especially when there’s a bar less than 200yds away selling a 500ml glass of Fanta for the same price. Same with The Coca-Cola, etc....Only had the one drink to avoid this.More

We ate here twice during our week-long stay in Rhodes. Excellent, friendly service and the food, especially the salads very good indeed and slightly unusual.
