In a little alley in the residential area of new town we found To Steno. Lovely little courtyard with a dozen tables. Tapas style bar that I think is mostly frequented by locals but the food was fabulous. The stuffed courgette flowers were delicious, the local sausage yummy and the wine very nice. Very reasonable prices and family run establishment... More

We went there because it was full with locals, which says about good quality and low prices. Dishes were very delicious The host is friendly guy. He sat with us and described dishes and advised. He treated us with fruits. Highly recomended place!

We chose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and were certainly not disappointed. We wouldn't have chosen to eat here if we'd just been walking by but the garden setting is perfection. We ordered and the owner sat down with us to go through everything to make sure we were happy. The grilled octopus was the best we have... More

Tucked down a backstreet, it took a little finding, but well worth it. So many delicious dishes, all home made and fresh. Courgette flowers stuffed with creamy feta and deep fried in the lightest crispy tempura batter were just one highlight. Local clientele as well as discerning visitors. Friendly service, very good value.

Located in a narrow back street on the fringe of the new town, Te Steno, with its Snack Bar sign, appears unprepossessing. Walk inside, and the ambience of its pretty courtyard is only surpassed by the warm and genuine welcome of its family owners. Clientele is a mix of locals and tourists, plates freshly prepared and delicious. Try the zucchini... More

We were told about this family run restaurant by our hotel manager and we appeared to be the only tourists in there, and it was full. The owner made us extremely welcome and sat and discussed the menu which is a simple greek selection much of it home grown. He took great pride in discussing both the food and the... More

Like many restaurants in Rodos it's family owned, the father sits with you taking the order like an old friend advising you and even saying "hey maybe it's to much" ;-) The atmosphere is nice sitting in the garden of their old house and the name means narrow street because of its location at a narrow street. Anything you order... More

We were staying locally half board, but took a night off to visit here, following a recommendation in my travel guide book. Supposedly a place for locals and it clearly was. One of our hotel's staff and husband turned up on their night off. Made to feel very welcome. Lovely food.

Its not very easy to find but it is worth making the effort to eat al fresco. This is the place to try Symian Shrimps and Calamari. A speciality from Karpathos is boild fresh green beans with 'syvrasi' (fried onion topping). The service is informal, quick and friendly. The prices are normal and anything you try from the menu is... More
