We visited this restaurant after a few hours spent on the beach and based on the recommendation from a local that the seafood is delicious at this place. After a very sunny day I wasn’t particularly peckish, so I ordered the garlic prawns (requesting the...heads be removed!) 6 very large prawns came back as requested cooked in a garlic tomatoey sauce, garnished with parsley. The waiter brought some bread so I could mop up the sauce. I would say the prawns didn’t taste or look like they were cooked very well- probably a quick pan fry and not that much, (just enough) and came out at a slightly tepid temperature. They tasted ok, nothing particularly special. I wasn’t a fan of the yellow coloured bread which tasted a bit weird. My husband had the Dimitra restaurant salad which was large and tasted ok with a strong vinaigrette dressing, figs and walnuts dotted about but not enough cheese. The highlight for me was the glass of delicious house red wine, one two many deliciously aniseed iced glasses of Ouzo and dessert of homemade orange cake. My husband had the Dimitra Baklava (which is not like the small squares you get in London) and it was large, syrupy and delicious. My husband also tried Retsina for the first time but wasn’t the biggest fan. A pleasant restaurant with a nice ambience and very nice clean toilet facilities.More

Best gyros plate I’ve eaten yet. We stopped for a quick lunch and randomly chose this restaurant. The dinner menu looked perfect, jave to try the seafood another day.

This restaurant is at a great location; stunning sea views and decorated so beautifully with vines/greenery from the trees hanging above. The food is incredible! I pretty much ordered prawn saganaki from every restaurant I visited in Rhodes and I must say, Dimitras was the...best. The seafood here tasted so fresh and delicious! The portions were generous and I cannot wait to come back again next year!More

My wife and I visited in August and stayed for one week in the rooms above this Taverna/Restaurant. It turned out to be a great choice and gave us everything we were looking for. In the Restaurant both the food and service was good and...well priced. We ate here at least once every day and we never had a bad experience. The menu is extensive. However my favorite go to was the simple Greek salad with feta, but there are many authentic Greek dishes to choose from. One of the days we saw 2 large fish (Amberjack) being carried off a fishing boat and directly into the restaurant. Manuel later showed them to my wife and I in the separate fish preparation room, while he prepared for the restaurant that evening. We had some later that evening with a jug of local cold white wine. As for the rooms, they were spotless and the location is perfect. From our room it was less then a minutes walk to the edge of the warm Aegean sea. The owners, Manuel and his wife, their daughter Debbie and all of the family and staff looked after us extremely well and went out of their way to ensure all of our requests were catered to. We had originally been scheduled to change to a smaller room for our last night but they managed to juggle things around and we didn't have to move. In addition they accommodated us with a late check out. We will definitely return with our family. Thanks to all at the "Dimitra" and see you soon hopefully!More

We ate here last night, nice location with good ambiance. The food as OK at best a little bland if I’m honest. I ordered Kleftico (lamb on the bone) for my main and I got vegetable stew in a a paper packet with 25gms of...lamb at best within the stew (see image), very disappointing indeed.More

It was the first restaurant we visited during our stay in Rhodes and what can I say, it was one of the poorest experiences so far. We decided to try out this place because it was very crowded and it has a picturesque view to...the sea. Unfortunetly we were quiet disappointed with the service and food. They definitely needed more staff in there, as I said, it was really buisy in there. I can’t say that we had a terrible dinner. I was fine, but almost all the starters we’ve tried lacked something. We chose to share a fired cod, buschetta with feta and tomato souce, hummus and (obviously) a greek salad. From everything we’ve tried we liked hummus (with pita bread on a side) and bruschetta the most. All the other starters were simple and quiet plane. Too plane. For drinks we decided to try their rose house wine and it was obvious that quality of the vine wasn’t that high. The only thing you could really taste was alcohol (and not in a good way, believe me).More

Beautiful, homely, beachfront restaurant with delicious authentic Greek cuisine. We ate here everyday after our first visit during our holiday in Faliraki, after finding the previous restaurants we visited to be very underwhelming. The food was always fresh, consistent and obviously prepared with care and...attention. The staff were welcoming and friendly, attentive and the service was always fast even with a full house. Highly recommend this stunning beachfront restaurant.More

A hidden gem away of the noise of Central Faliraki. The restaurant is 300 m away from the center and opposite aqua park.. The food is very good and the restaurant is looks brand new unlike some centrally located restaurants which look like mid 70's...The service is good and of course you have in the plate the whole Faliraki bayMore

I was looking very much to have a lovely meal and choose Demetra restaurant. Not a good idea. The fish was not cooked properly and inside not clean with the intestines left inside. Paid €25 for it with some boiled potatoes and boiled frozen vegetables...( broccoli, carrots and cauliflower-Iceland style). The table was wet and asked the waiter to clean, however he just replied that was the humidity. Really, I am paying the £63 and this is the food and service that I get.More

Visited Dimitra whilst having a walk along the beach and went back the following day! Not cheap, but equally not the most expensive as it's situated on the beach. Food was good - we had snacks rather than a full meal (houmous, tarama, calamari etc)...and cocktails. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit.More
