Few people in the staff but they made a great job of giving service to all the customers. The food was one of the best we had at Santorini and the service was excellent!

Ate here tonight, I didn't want a three course meal so I ordered a baby beef steak, there was nothing baby about the steak, it was very tasty, and home made chips which were gorgeous, my partner ordered the chicken Al la creme with mushrooms and peppers which was really tasty although the chips were over powered with the cream... If you are looking for a friendly, economic and genuine place, this is definitely a must. Really nice service, good location (perissa beach) and a wide range of greek traditional plates. My suggestion: do not miss the moussaka!!!

Very local, very Greek - don't expect top service but do expect quality Greek food! Tomato fritters are amazing as is the moussaka - been here about 4 times over the years we have been here!

After reading reviews here, felt obliged to go. I found the food to be amazing. However the service could be improved. When we went, only one server actively working and he appeared pretty stressed. He was very friendly and welcoming but it really looked he could use some help on a busy night. Ended up waiting for 45 minutes for... More

Please go. This place is amazing. Food is superb and very well priced. It doesn't look much from the outside but do not let that put you off. Goi n the kitchen, order a little of everything and enjoy. The cost will be very little and the food superb and very traditional Greek. A must if you are in Perissa.

I have been coming to Santorini for five years because it is so lovely. Lava is my top restaurant in the whole island never mind Perissa. The fresh food is served with smiles and passion. The stuffed cherry tomatoes are awesome, moorish - fresh fish, seafood, meat is cooked to perfection. The menu has changed over the years - a... More

How often have you been asked to come to the kitchen to choose your meal? At Taverna Lava we are still living this old Greek tradition, every day. Our philosophy is to provide you an unique food experience for all your senses.Choose from a big variety of different freshly prepared dishes ranging from stuffed small Santorini tomatoes (vegetarian), squads stuffed with rice, shrimps and raisins as well as beef filet in a Greek tomato-cinnamon sauce. Pick your fish - not just what kind of fish - but exactly which one you want and we will grill or fry it freshly for you. Fresh is key for us. Please don't expect us to have fish during full moon or a stormy day - its impossible to get fresh Santorinian fish. Additionally, we partnered up with local farmers and procure produce of Santorinian soil: eggplants, squads, small tomatoes, wine and much more...If you are tired of choosing from an endless menu, visit us - we will have something new for you to choose from every day.
