Having eaten at Greek tavernas for 6 nights we wanted to try something else for one night of our holiday. Ginger Sushi was perfect. We booked a table for 8.30pm and watched the sunset at PK Cocktail Bar nearby and then wandered up to the restaurant. The service was excellent, the waiters were so friendly and attentive (which I have found rare during our time here). The food was delicious. For two people we shared edamame, the roll of the day which was spicy tuna rolls, prawn tempura, gyoza, salmon nigiri and beef yaki soba. The only dish I would not order again was the beef yaki soba. We had a bottle of rose and the bill came to €112 with service which we thought was very reasonable given the quality of food and service provided. I would happily recommend this restaurant to a friend who was visiting Santorini on holiday. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

This place was almost right outside my hotel, I read the reviews and could feel the saliva building so in I went as a solo traveller.
Chicken katsu curry - the BEST I’ve ever had and I wanted more
Spicy tuna rolls - all 8 were incredible, I needed more, couldn’t believe how good the food tasted and how well it was presented
Asked for the waiters recommendation for another set of rolls and I can’t remember them because I’d had almost a bottle of wine but, BY JOVE, they were good.
Seriously loved this place, 3 big main dishes and a bottle of wine was just over 60 euros and the waiter and the chef were fantastic
Highly recommended

I have dreamed of going to Greece, Santorini specifically, so I was ecstatic to be visiting this summer for my birthday. I also got tired of Greek food after a full week of it. We decided to go for something Asian instead. Ginger Sushi Lounge was one of the nearby options so we went for it.
It was about 18 minutes walking from our hotel in Fira so we made the trek. It wasn't too bad and if you're wearing appropriate shoes, you'll be fine. We made it to the restaurant shortly before opening and asked if we could be seated. The host said we couldn't order food before the kitchen opened but we could order a few drinks. Done. We sat down and ordered a few vodka mojitos and looked at the menu. When the time came, we ordered tuna and yellowtail sushi, a roll, and the beef noodles. It was a good start. We planned on ordering more if we were still hungry. The sushi was good and let me just tell you after a week of local cuisine, we really just wanted something different. This place hit the spot. The tables were spaced apart and the staff wore masks. They have plenty of outdoor tables. We had a lovely dinner and caught the sunset back at our hotel. It was really nice. Since we ate early, we missed the crowd. I never understood why they keep such late hours but since we kept early hours, it worked for us.

This place offers a wide variation of sushi from the more tradtional salmon and californian roll to more exotic combinations. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. the waiter was a bit nosy asking us too many questions while we just want to enjoy a quiet meal

This was some of the best sushi we’ve ever had! Although it’s a bit pricey, we really enjoyed our meal and think it was worth it. We enjoyed: California roll, foxy lady roll, edamame, beef tataki (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), chicken gyoza, temporiki ebi pop corn (shrimp), and yellowtail sashimi. We ordered Moscow mules which were the perfect balance of alcohol and mixers (not overly sugary).

Having come over from London we regularly eat at Nobu/ Roka etc and I can honestly say hands down this is the BEST tuna sushi we have ever ever had. The spicy tuna special roll was melt in the mouth tender and tops any household sushi name you’ll eat at. The tuna is sourced from the Aegean Sea and shipped to Japan as it is that good. I CANNOT recommend the quality of this sushi highly enough. Really reasonably priced and so fresh. Def worth a visit, with fabulous views across the sea for the sunset. A hidden gem make the visit!!!!

During our holiday in Santorini, my boyfriend and I decided to look for a sushi restaurant and after some research on the internet we found this one and looking at the menu on the website we were convinced and went to order takeaway. We order sashimi, some uramaki and some nigiri. What we get are literally 2 pieces of sashimi and 2 pieces of nigiri whose fish wasn't even fresh, for the modest sum of around €20-25 each. The price did not correspond at all to the one published on the internet. The gyoza ravioli only tasted of garlic and to top it off the uramaki were truly uncommendable, we didn't eat them because the flavor was really bad. The bill ? €108 for two people. A real tourist trap. If you care about eating good sushi and not wasting your money, avoid this restaurant.

Came here multiple times and loved every dish we had. It's a staple of Japanese restaurants but their Katsu Curry is phenomenal and of course the Sushi was fantastic.
If you want something local though, they do a steak marinated in Japanese spices cooked on a volcanic rock, which is also really good.

I enjoyed the food so much at Ginger Sushi that I have been back several times during my stay on the island. I am ironically not in love with sushi in general but they have several non raw fish roll options such as my favorite - prawn tempura rolls - that are amazing. I also fell in love with the steak cooked on a volcanic rock - unbelievable! This is a must when visiting Santorini. The staff is also great and efficient and Firostefani is a beautiful little village.

Delicious fresh food. We enjoyed a crab salad, a selection of sushi rolls and the salmon and noodles dish was divine.
Expensive but if you want a change from the usual Greek cuisine then this is the place to head to!!!

I had the Beef Tataki for starter and it was a taste sensation going through all the flavours with every chew. For main I had the Sake Toro Nigiri which had a nice fat content which gave the salmon a beautiful flavour and then had the Gyuniku no ebi Roll and once again a taste sensation.
Highly recommended if you are a Sushi lover

I suspect this place often gets overlooked because it doesn’t have a sea view.
Big mistake!
The sushi is on a par with anything you get in London or New York, even coming close to Tokyo in my opinion.
Not only is the sushi superb, but there are a range of other Japanese dishes which are top notch.
Be sure to pay a visit when you’re in Santorini.

I'm still dreaming of this sushi, more than a week later! Super fresh with delicious flavors. The spicy edamame was great too. Shoutout to the bartender, who let us return a drink we didn't like, and brought us the most delicious ginger sake-tini instead. I wish we'd gone back the next night.

Love the interior of this relaxed restaurant & we had a lovey dinner here. Service is good and the food is excellent. We shared a crab salad, tuna & salmon sashimi, and two different classic rolls - all delicious. With wine the bill came to €114.
