We found a 5⭐️ restaurant in Platanias. Strange how many restaurants serve frozen food, mainly seafood, BUT NOT THIS ONE 😀. Excellent seafood. Kids had tender fresh fried squid, and we had the grilled FRESH salmon. The owner makes an excellent Greek coffee, knows what to advise and knows her stuff. Great lunch. Go to this place, not so easy... More

Nice little restaurant, highly suggest trying. This is the first meal the kids ate everything. Surprised, and maybe because it's so tucked away, that it wasn't as touristy - same music, dessert, etc. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Very friendly service. Fresh fish available every day. Quiet situation near the harbour far from the noise of Platanias main street. Many delicious fish plates and starters available. Recommandable!

Just had a lunch. Waitress very friendly and food delicious. Overlooking the beach. Good price. Salads huge and a good fish choice if required.

The restaurant is quite expensive, but if you order correctly you can work it. The lobster was expensive, but lovely. The pasta was nice, we'd recommend the sea food pasta dish. The house wine was nice, but bottled rather than from a carafe which contributes to the higher cost too. The dakos were nice but nowhere near the best around.... More

We stayed at a nearby hotel and were delighted to discover the Limanaki closeby. The taverna and owner are very charming, and we returned to eat there for lunch and dinner every day of our stay! Great fresh fish - we got to see the head of the Swordfish we were eating which was caught fresh on the day -... More

Limanaki is one of the very few restaurants in Agia Marina area that are still serving fresh fish. The food is very tasty and the really fresh. Me and my family enjoyed so much that we wnet there three times during our one-week stay in Crete. I recoomend the sea urchins and catch of the day. Of course, Greek salad... More

We got sick after eating at Limanaki. The food was soaked in fat, not fried properly. Probably not fresh either, kept us up at night. Prices - too high, the restaurant didn't offer anything special to justify the almost 30% higher prices than any other taverna. One thing was great - the waitress.

We had a decent fishplatter. Fries not cooked properly but the fish was beautiful. Rest of the platter was ok. Big plus for the friendly waitress. Prices maybe 10% above average. All in all we had a nice time there.

This restaurant has been run by the same family for 30 years. It is in a slightly out of the way position but with good views of the small harbour. One of the few restaurants to serve fresh fish. the fresh small calamari were very good. A pity it doesn't get more support.

Thank Clive N
