This is one of the best restaurants in a town full of good restaurants. The Menu is a steal. We had a wonderful dinner sitting outside. The service was attentive and professional. We look forward to our next visit.

Loved this restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming staff, lovely garden out the back and fantastic food. Great steak and lamb, and the best sea bass we've had in a long while. The starter on the kids menu was remarkable. Would definitely go again.

The restaurant we intended to visit was closed so we went on a hunt for an alternative-how lucky were we! We had an apéritif in the lovely garden before sitting down inside to a delicious meal served by a charming waiter. The restaurant is attached to Le Coq hotel and we shall certainly look at staying here next time we... More

Our first time at Le Cocquempot and we will certainly be returning. Very friendly staff and an extremely attractive, period dining room. Three different menus to choose from, as well as a la carte. The food is absolutely delicious - the most stunning pork cheeks I have ever eaten - and is very good value, the cheapest menu being 20... More

Rene, the owner's son has settled into the head chef's position and put his own stamp on the cooking. last night his €30 menu offered us camembert in filo pastry, guinea fowl as main course and a mixed fruits salad to finish. all nicely presented and tasty. we drank a white burgundy which matched very well.. Not that busy as... More

Le Cocquempot is the restaurant of the hotel where we staid during the weekend; the hotel is really fine but unfortunately the restaurant is not on the same level... They really try to serve something good but they don't succeed :-( In our menu we had "steak au poivre"; the cuisson and quality of the meat was great but the... More

Looking around Montreuil for somewhere to have an evening meal, we settled on Le Cocquempot which is in the Coq Hotel. The menu drew us in and the price (set menu - 3 courses), 37 euros, was reasonable. We had not made reservation, which may be an idea if you are around in high season. The main room was typical... Five of us went there on Friday evening. A friend had suggested two possible places to eat in Montreuill although he hadn't eaten in either! The other restaurant was closed, so we went here, arriving around 7:30 p.m. The menus looked promising, so in we went. There were just two people already dining. Four of us had the €29 menu... More

We have stayed more than once at this hotel and usually try and eat one meal in the restaurant. It is normally very popular with both locals and tourists so booking is definitely advisable. There are 2 set menus and an a la carte, but most of those dishes are on the set menus as well. We tried the more... More
