I heard so much about Costa Rica and have not been disappointed other than this place. Although the laws say no music after 10:00 pm they had a loud party and blasting house music that went on to 630 am on Sunday, and on Thursday...night to 4 am. My children couldn't sleep, we couldn't sleep, and from talking to others who live on the mountain - no one slept.More

The perfect place to watch the gorgeous ST sunsets and surfers. Drinks were great! Didn’t have any food, but it looked great! Would definitely be back again for many sunsets.

First, this place is now called Uma and has a Mediterranean vibe on the menu. Only down sides: it’s definitely pricy and I wish they had a more extensive cocktail menu. I would have loved to just drink a bunch of cocktails on the beach....I’d probably have also expected a bit more of a wine menu for a place of this price level. That aside, the views/location are incredible. The service is fantastic. And the food is some of the best we’ve had in Costa Rica. The whole red snapper was super tender and some of the best we’ve tried. The grilled shrimp and fish ceviche appetizers were pretty perfect, too. And the creamy artichoke and shrimp main dish was also fantastic. That pistachio ice cream and crispy flute dessert is also a must. We really didn’t dislike anything. If you’re a fan of spicy food: definitely get the grilled jalapeño tapa, which also comes with an amazing spicy garlic and tomato paste. Spices up any dish in no time!More

Food is very tasty - and worth the money. All the staff are super friendly. Nice for dinner on the beach or to grab a drink in the afternoon.

I went to Habanero for Happy Hour Drinks and they were soo good! I tried the Margarita and the Mojito. Margarita was my favorite. Amazing sunsets, very attentive waiter called Juan (who is by the way also very handsome!) . I would go there anytime...again for a drink :)More

The menú changed, big time. Used to be way better, it isn’t that good anymore, what a petty. Very small and simple menu for families. We where asked to pay in cash because internet was dawn, but I heard from another customers that they experienced...the same “no internet” deal, on a different day, different month.More

Thank you for your review, were taking under consideration every comment. we are located in santa teresa, internet connection problems happens very often (in the hole area ). we recently found a solution with the bank to improve our service.

We satyed in Santa Teresa for 5 days. Our son preceded us and told us about Habaneros. Right on the beach with a panoramic view of the sunset. We've seen the sunset in a lot of places in the world but I can't think of...a spot that compares with this one. Since the sun sets at nearly the same time every day in Central America, it happily coincides with Happy Hour...2 for 1 drinks. go there..you'll see.More

Used to love the place before it got sold. It s turned to trash, bland menu, dirty place, overpriced and worse than anything else super bad treatment by the owner.

Treatment of the guests by the owners is disrespectful and harmful. The vibe that comes from that is toxic towards women. I recommend to avoid going there.

We stayed at Habaneros for a dinner and enjoyed the fresh sea breeze. The restaurant provides a very romantic atmosphere. Especially the falafel (made by the chef himself) were delicious. The drinks very instead more pricy than tasty. Generally it's a good place to be,...but you have to life with European or American prices.More
