You really do need to book here and especially on a Sunday when the whole place comes alive. It’s right on the beach and the food is amazing especially the lobster tacos. Sunday they have fire jugglers and acrobats. It very busy and lively in...a Sunday and great for having a good evening and watching the sunset in the beach.More

Great experience. Excellent fish and shrimp tacos. Very friendly service. Ideal setting right on the beach. Will be visiting again.

We ordered Mahi Mahi plate and burrito. The plate had greasy potatoes and an average Mahi Mahi plate. The burrito was mainly rice and very bland. The waitress made us feel like we doing her a favor and took a long time to bring out...the food. Menu is very small and only 3 or 4 main items to choose from. Food was expensive for sub standard restaurantMore

We were staying at Playa Cielo. You can read my full review which includes the restaurant. It’s right on the beach, food is simply outstanding, service is friendly and on par, and the scenery amazing.

We have been in ST for a month...Habeneros has been a "go to" for us for lunch, dinner and sunset snacks. Eden is a LOVELY lady and a fantastic manager. Order the shrimp bites as an appetizer and you will not be disappointed!

2 for 1 margaritas 5-6 are AOK. Had a decent tuna tartar. Other drinks were pretty good. Boy had a mango smoothie which was great. Nice beachside view of sunset, very friendly servers.

Hello, Thanks for sharing your experience! We're glad you enjoyed your meal at Habanero. We'd love to have you back!

We have gone to Habaneros for many years. They host a family celebration with many people in attendance. It begins at around 4 pm with music, food, and performers. However, since the new owner took over, they play oppressively loud music until past 2:00 am....Santa Teresa is a "chill" town filled with surfers, yoga enthusiasts as well as young families. Many people are on the beach before 6 am. Therefore, they don't stay up very late. We are staying in a lovely villa about 1,000 meters away and were disturbed by their rudely loud music. If they want to stay open for some customers til 2:00 am, that is fine as long as it is not so loud. But it is unfair of them to disturb the serenity of this beautiful village.More

Habaneros strikes me as a place that just gets away with whatever because they’re on the beach and are a great spot to watch the sunset. I’m not sure if we just caught the service staff on a bad couple of days or what was...going on. Cocktails were mediocre, short poured and served with an eye roll. We are polite, tip well and kind to everyone but we were not met with kindness in return. Not a great vibe, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt with a 3 star rating because everyone is allowed to have bad days and it really is a lovely spot to watch the sun go down. We enjoyed the food, cocktails and vibe at Banana Beach Club far more.More

We needed a quick and safe place to stop for lunch on our way to Montezuma. With all our luggage in the private hotel parking seemed like a good option. The location on the beach is really nice. The service was ordinary and the food...equally unremarkable. The prices were definitely resort prices, not budget. It worked for us but wouldn’t warrant a return visit.More

Loved the chicken tacos. Guac was good. Friend loved the civiche. My mango/avocado salad was delish. And that carrot/garlic/olive oil dip was so cool. Just be ready for a leisurely meal -- they work at Pura Vida speed like everyone else in the area.

I think the signs say, “hotel guests only.” I see people swimming in the ocean and returning to loungers.
