Lovely for lunch

This is my second trip to Santa Teresa, and both times I found that Buddha Eyes is a lovely place to have lunch and they have terrific smoothies. The restaurant looks out over the pool and is very relaxing with lots of palms, gentle music and very kind staff.

At this level of restaurant the basics and the details absolutely matter. The setting for this restaurant is no doubt beautiful and establishes an expectation of the cuisine which was however not met. My friend ordered a vitality smoothie and I was initially amused when he turned his nose up after taking a swig. Being a seasoned smoothie veteran I... More

This restaurant has one redeeming quality--- the waitstaff. They are incredibly sweet and will do their best to help you out. Unfortunately the food here is uninspired and bland. I was here for a week and ate all of my meals here. Despite having requested vegetarian meals, twice I was served chicken. When there were vegetarian options it was salad... More

I found the restaurant at Pranamar to be inconsistent. My partner and I walked in to the restaurant twice while at surf camp in Playa Hermosa, with the first time being pretty decent, but the second time being quite poor. Both times, the smoothies were AMAZING. I'd highly recommend stopping in for a smoothie if you're on a beach stroll.... More

We had breakfast one morning at Pranamar. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The dishes were fresh and nicely plated - and tailored to typical Costa Rican cuisine. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and comfortable - a nice relaxing place to dine.

terribly run. very poor service. I hope they've worked on it. Completely disorganized. Breakfast ok but they nickel and dime you on the drinks-if you order anything but black coffee or water you have to pay extra. Lunch goes downhill and dinner is AWFUL

When I say simple I mean excellent quality food that does not need chef tricks to make it taste and look wonderful. Meals at Buddha Eyes are not elaborate concoctions, they are wonderful combinations where the ingredients are wholesome and fresh and the chefs use restraint and allow the food to just be delicious!
