The restaurant is slightly elevated amidst a jungle setting and it overlooks the sea. A perfect setting that calms your senses as you listen the nature's orchestra; the sounds of the waves crashing and the rhythmic pulse of the crickets as the sun slowly sets in the horizon. We thought we found a perfect piece of heaven until we met... More

The restaurant setting is unique for Penang and worth visiting if you don't mind a "long" drive specially on weekends since you have to pass through batu ferringhi. Make a reservation if you want to sit on one of the front tables. It is one of the few places where you can see a sun set over the water around... More

It is worth timing a visit to the Spice Gardens so that you can sit on the lovely balcony, overlooking the sea and have lunch here. Food was fabulous.

Visited on a Tuesday evening and it was nice and peaceful with only a few tables occupied. Getting there is easy - catch the 101 rapidTransit bus from Batu Ferenghi (RM1.70) for the 4km trip north - there is a bus stop just 30m past the restaurant. Look for the Tree Monkey sign on your left and press the stop... More

Next to the tropical spice garden. Food is really good. So good we went back a few days later. Recommend the tapas and the tomtom noodle soup. Great views of the sun setting. Only downside is the mosquitos, got bitten despite industrial strength mozzie repellent.

We took all 18 members of our family to dinner to this restaurant, and we all came away happy! The kids absolutely loved it as we were just in time to see the monkeys in the trees and watch the sun set. The food was great. I recommend the Pad Thai, lettuce cups with minced chicken and the chicken rendang... More

Wow we loved this place! We first visited Tree Monkey for lunch and it was just lovely. We shared a tapas plate and a green curry with beautiful spiced coffees. Our daughter loved the milk shakes. The presentation of food was amazing and we loved the use of spices in the food and drink. The view was amazing and it... More

A return visit - and just so glad we did. Wonderful location and decor - and wonderful food. Actually saw 10 tree monkeys crossing the phone line across the road at 7.30 when we arrived - an added bonus ! But back to the restaurant. The setting is fantastic - classy but relaxed. All set in the surroundings of the... More

Good food amazing views crashing waves incredible place to sit but the most sour faced rudest waiter I ever have the misfortune of being served by. Asked for nothing but a glass of hot water and he rolled his eyes and huffed off. We were so polite so happy and so relaxed. We thought was personal until we observed his... More

Stunning setting up in the treetops with views through the trees to the sea. The food matches the wonderful location. We loved the thai tapas, great tastes and the chance to try different dishes. Great watermelon juice too. The staff are helpful and very honest, I forgot to take my change and the owner called me back to get it.... More
