Located in the plaza just north of the convent, Muul has both outdoor and indoor seating. The very reasonably priced menu offers a good selection of regional treats. I can heartily recommend the Relleno Negro, which tastes like nothing that I can describe (not spicy) and was delicious. And the staff are charmers. Also has full bar selections

Ran into this place by accident but we decided to give it a try. We tried some of the local cuisine and my wife and I really loved our meal. We tried a little bit of everything but everything we tried, we liked. Give this place a shot if you're ever in this part of Mexico, you won't be disappointed.... More

Try any of the Yucatecan specialites like Pok Chuk, Rellano Negro or Queso Rellano. They offer a very satisfactory breakfast and brewed coffee. Snacks are served even if you just stop to refresh with a beverage in the afternoon.

This restaurant was recommended by a local as it was one of very few that were opened for dinner in low season. We had the chicken muul style and the chicken pibil. Both were tasty and also the agua de Jamaica was very refreshing after a really hot day. All in all we were satisfied with the dinner, and had... More

First said: we didn't eat there. Just had Margaritas. If you overdosed your insulin their Margaritas might just save your life. Otherwise you gonna end up as a diabetic. Ordered a second one, "menos azucar", even sweeter than the first one. Not drinkable.

This restaurant was cheaper and faster than others we ate at. The menu was good for a lunch and the portions were very generous. It was situated on the edge of the city square which made an interesting scene of activities to watch well we ate.

The restaurant offers great food at a very affordable price. All the food tasted fresh and beautifully flavored. My friend enjoyed the pibil. The dips at the beginning were good, especially the pumpkin seed dip. I've forgotten the name.. The services was good. This restaurant is great for a laid back delicious meal.

As residents of Izamal, Muul is one of our favorite local restaurants for meeting friends and dining on the plaza. We love to sit outside at sunset and watch the passing parade of life going by. The waiters are very attentive and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and we particularly enjoy the vegetable enchiladas.

Food is authentic, fresh and attractively served. It is also quite reasonably priced. I also like the fact that is located in one of the town squares.
