It was my first time at this restaurant and loved it! Great food, original Yucatán style and flavors. The ambience is excellent, spacious and charming. People treated us like if we went there everyday. Highly recommended for those who want to experience local cuisine.

Reputed to be one of the best restaurants in a town that doesn't have all that many. I certainly enjoyed it. The food was good, the service friendly and good, and the prices were perfectly reasonable, especially for a place that works to maintain an upscale ambience. Chicken and pork dishes are particularly good. After a hot day wandering about... More

Went to Izamal to visit the town and had lunch at the restaurant. Food was ok, but service was indifferent. The food was tasty but was served in a manner indicating that the waitress let it sit before getting it to the table.

Two years ago we ate here; in this new trip we decided to go back because of this flavour. All the food is from Yucatan (regional style). besides, the place was built in a regional way, so everybody can spend a good eating time.

We drove to Izamal because someone suggested us to visit. We saved our lunch time yo east Kinich, since they told us it was the best place to eat in this town. Apparently, it effectively is the best, however, it doesn't mean it's gonna be the best food ever. It was good, but that's it. Great service, friendly cozy place.... More

Had lunch while touring Izamal...well worth it. Just a couple blocks off of one of the two main plazas. The beautiful facade leads to a very local interior, and wood fired kitchen. We had two local chicken dishes and they were both very good. Great service, and prices you would expect.

The atmosphere, the food we ordered, the service... I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place! I am from the Yucatan and I can say this is as authentic as it gets. Delicious deer, pollo pibil, papadzules con longaniza de Valladolid... Everything! All wonderfully accompanied by hand-made tortillas and a black bean soup. A truly remarkable experience!

My wife and I came here with friends from Merida. They told us this was one of the best restaurants for typical Yucatecan comida. Kinich did not disappoint. We each chose and shared a different local specialty...My Goodness! Each was as good as the last. The juices were out of this world, and we all finished with a different in-house... More

We love Yucutan cuisine, and are picky about it I would say this hit the mark. .I would reccomend you to ask a taxi driver for directions if you are on your own. It is very near the pyramid the you can walk on top of. It is worth the hunt!!! From the moment you walk inl and feel the... More

Damn! We were so excited to go here based off of all the TripAdvisor reviews. My husband and I were sorely disappointed. We were greeted and sat right away - great start. Ordered a couple beers as we pondered the menu. Everything looked really great so we found it hard to choose. I ordered the Queso Relleno and my husband... More
