Friendly Owner Serving Nice Seafood Dishes

Local family-run place offering a small menu of mainly seafood dishes at very reasonable prices. The fish fillet of the day was my favourite meal. Beware of the hot chilli sauces that the owner recommends ... seriously spicy!

I had the fish fillet, and it was good. The fish was fresh and the passionfruit sauce was yummy. The juice was decent, not the best I had. It's a 3.5 in terms of rating, but I'd round it up to 4 since the owner was friendly. One thing to note is that the prices at this place seems to... More

As my name is Miriam, I had to check out this place. Previous reviews had recommended the Lobster Bisque and they were not wrong. It was fantastic. Simple restaurant but great friendly service and great food. Miriam looks very much like the mermaid in the painting too.

I ate at this place for breakfast and dinner. It has immense charm and it's food is totally fresh and very tasty. He makes everything from scratch and the sauces that accompany the fish and meals are exceptional. Skip all the other places and come here it rocks.

This was our first dinner in town and we will go back. We had the lobster empanadas and the fried fish. The starter of the fresh salsas and pickled onions were good as was the fresh mango juice. Both mains came with rice, beans and fresh tortillas. The empanadas were very nice but the best was the fried fish. So... More

Read good reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to try and WOW, we were surprised how good it was. They start you off with fresh Tortilla chips, salsa and these super yummy pickled onions. Oh my – I could not stop eating them. Hubby had their grilled Shrimp with a Coffee salsa sauce – not only interesting but very good.... More

The restaurant is a small place a block from the main square. The owner was very nice and went above and beyond for our dinner. My husband had the fish fillet a la diabla and he warned him about three times that it would be very spicy. We do eat spicy though and after he had finished the plate the... More

Next to viva Zapata this place is very good. Lots of deals for the budget traveller. Had the ceviche and it was some of the best I have had and a large portion. If Louise was here she could have practised her Spanish.

This is a little restaurant near the city center (1 block away), the food is great, the beverages are natural and the overall experience excellent! This is a must if you want to try local cuisine and meet nice locals (the owners)!

We loved our meal at Miriam's, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We at the empanadas for 50 pesos which has to be the best value on the island? We had cheese, chorizo and chicken and this was served with rice. We were also given free chips and dip while we waited. Beer was plentiful and cold... More
