Good guacamole and chips but the lobster empanadas couldn't be choked down. Also, located on a somewhat busy corner if you sit outside.

Best food we ate in Holbox. Miriam restaurant is the type of place where you truly know your food was prepared just for you, with the absolute freshest ingredients . Miriam is the cook and her husband is the waiter. The food is the best we had in Holbox. This restauarant is also well located - one block off of... More

My hubby and I enjoyed a peacful lunch at Miriam. The owner was accommodating and willing to please us. We had queso fundido for an appetizer and I had pork nachos. My hubby had pork tacos. Lunch was sufficient and inexpensive.

Cafe Miriam is located a little off the main square, so it's not right in the middle of everything. The owner is super engaging and he basically talked us into coming in, which I'm so thankful for. The guacamole was fabulous, as was the passion fruit sauce - my husband had it on shrimp and I had it on a... More

Small family owned place, everything made to order fresh - nothing already prepared, not even the sauces. The owner was very engaging and friendly. We had a great meal - lime soup (sooo good) lobster with coffee sauce, fish - we loved it.

This place is adorable. The owner waits on you, his family is on the small kitchen cooking your meal! Great fresh seafood selection, he was picking out the fresh fish to serve for dinner from the fisherman himself while we were in there! Creative menu with seafood and Mexican choices. Cute, romantic little house, indoor and outdoor dining. Incredible prices... More

Flavorful and nice ambience. We had the fish with the passion fruit sauce and some empanadas after a long bike ride. Enjoyed the street scene of passerbys.

I ate at this place on my last night, and wish I would have done it sooner! What a unique little restaurant. Very friendly service, colorful decor, and interesting artwork. Definitely a family-run restaurant. When I asked what their specialty was, I was told the fish with passionfruit sauce, so I got the shrimp with the same sauce. The sauce... More

We enjoyed our guacamole and ceviche so much that we had to come back the day after when we had the gambas in coffee sauce and got even more pleasantly surprised. The owner is so sweet and you can tell he cooks with love. Highly recommend!

This is a very low-key family-run restaurant far enough from the main plaza so that it is not overrun with tourists. There was a local family eating there when we arrived - a good sign. We had a beautiful fish dish with passionfruit sauce - yum! Very tasty food, large portions, friendly service and low prices. Highly recommended if you... More
