We ordered the guacamole, pork, fish with garlic and plantains. All were excellent, we even had a second order of plantains! They are more of a dessert dish with sweetened condensed milk. We came back for lunch another day and ordered the plantains again, a sandwich and a chocolate milk (more of a chocolate milk shake!) very good! We had... More

Came here for dinner a few nights ago and was lovely! Definetely one of the cheaper resturants we found! Portion sizes were really good and they gave us loads of extras to go with our meal! The meal itself was lovely and service was great too!

The young boy waiting on tables didn't have great English but between my broken Spanish and what he did speak, we were able to order ok. The food was very cheap and the fact they bought out tortillas and dips while we were waiting was excellent. The server was very attentive with asking for more drinks and what not. When... More

We stopped in for an afternoon snack of guacamole and ceviche. Our waiter came to the table with his mouth full of something and the residual all over his mouth. He took our order and seemed to get the only 2 tables mixed up. He kept bringing food to each tables asking...You have.. The guacamole was average. The ceviche was not... More

Stopped in here for lunch, and had the filete Mexicana. It was decent, especially for the price of 110 pesos, and came with rather plain rice and tortillas some lettuce and cucumber. Lime and salsa verde helped add flavour to the fish, and the portion was of good size. I really liked the agua Jamaica, and the restaurant is a... More

We went for lunch and it was great. Chicken fajitas were nice, only 90 pesos. The Mago fish was excellent. Fried and stuffed with ham and cheese, only 150 pesos. Very good service. We will be back.

We ate here twice during our visit to Holbox. The service was friendly and the food was fantastic. The beef fajitas were the best we had and the fresh hot corn tortillas were amazing.

Tiny little spot in the square with decent chilaquiles. I had them plain and they were pretty good. My boyfriend had them with chicken and really enjoyed them. Super affordable!

Mom and Pop restaraunt across from the square, very near to the ATM upstairs over the "Police dept". We went there twice for a mid day snack. I had Chilaquiles which were fantastic, next time Ceviche. My wife had Ceviche/breaded chicken. All was very good. Very small place, cash only, no alcohol, great service. Might help if you speak a... Holbox island isn't known for its cuisine...and the Pollo Mago is just typical...OK, but not oustanding. It's located right on the Zocalo and sitting on the outdoor patio lets you watch all the activity. I had the shrimp tacos. They were OK, but I've had much better elsewhere. They serve wine by the glass, which is a nice touch. Personally,... More
