Celery and Ginger sweet sour works well! Starter fish was fresh but meet seriously overcooked! -Make sure you sprayed against Mosquitos!

Beware of the hype, there is nothing here worth your time, or, especially your vacation money; you will need a lot of it. From the outside, and from the reviews(?), it looks and sounds like a high end restaurant. In reality one would argue using the phrase "rip off" should be inserted somewhere. Getting what you pay for, or not,... More

Great food with perfect service. Highly recommended for a nice pasta or fish carpaccio. Service was impeccable and all our plates were fresh and felt made with care

Great food, you don't expect this kind of a restaurant in the heart of holbox but it apparently exists! Caprese salad - best I have ever had! Reasonable prices Go for the double risotto, Owners so nice! So friendly and welcoming. The waiter seems to know well what he's doing. Came back again at the end of our stay. Thank... More

Sadly, we found this great place late on in our stay - we loved it and wished we could have returned. We had previously eaten at some restaurants higher up the Trip Advisor ranking, but I have to stay we were disappointed with a number of these. This place, however, was brilliant! We decided we'd both like the lobster ravioli,... More

We went twice during our stay in Isla Holbox. Both times the food was so delicious! The service from the owner is warm and friendly. And the setting is tranquil and pretty. Some reviews are saying it's expensive but it's no more expensive than other restaurants and the food was the best we had during our stay. The fish was... More

I have been enjoying food from La Guaya, formerly Pelicanos, for 9 years. Always great food, always great service. Special diet such as low sodium or allergies? Mention it and care will be taken to provide you a safe delicious meal. Ask about the daily special, this isn't usually listed and is often created on the spot for you. Enjoy
