This was our first dinner experience in Holbox and it did not disappoint!! It is a modest restaurant with plastic patio furniture set on the beach under a palm leaf roofed canopy. The wait staff are bare foot and the entire atmosphere is laid back and carefree. If you want quick, prompt service, this is not for you, but if... More

On our 2 week holiday on Isla Holbox we only missed coming here on 2 or 3 days.. having read up on tripadvisor we stopped off for lunch on our first day - both hungry from a full day travelling we over ordered (after shortly finishing a large mexican breakfast!) me the octopus skewer, a side of guacamole and chips... Fish taco! Yes , so simple , so delicious. Basic and good, low-cost. Lunch hours and in the evenings.

I was in Holbox for a week and ate at Raices at least 4 times. The service is slow but you don't come to a place like Holbox to be stressed about time so sit back, relax with a chelada (beer and lime juice) and you will have the freshest seafood imaginable. The tables are literally on the beach so... More

Fun place to listen to reggae music with a great view especially after a boat or fishing trip. There is a woman from Italy with a booth there who sells some of the most beautiful hand made jewelry on the island. Very good ceviche and guac!

Raises is a bar and restaurant on the beach that is not far from several of the hotels on Holbox. This was our first meal for lunch as we arrived on the island and was so great and so chill that we came back at least 2 more times over our week in Holbox. On our first visit, we ordered... More

My wife and I loved this little beachside place. It came highly recommended from some locals and we were not disappointed. They seem to serve basically whatever comes in fresh off the fishing boats that morning. They always have fish and lobster...sometimes octopus. The ceviche is possibly the best on the island. The guacamole tastes like it's made to order...so... More

Located right on the beach between Casa Las Tortugas and Casasandra, Raices looked like a promising low key beachfront grill, but it really didn’t deliver on the promise. Nothing was inedible, but nothing was special. You’ve probably had better guacamole and chips many times. Much better. The seafood mixed grill for two was large and certainly okay, but again nothing... More

Very good location, we got to see huge shells and manta rays on the beach, very impressive! Their slogan is "slow food", it is really slow food. They charge you a minimum to seat on their sun chairs and then you realize it is not being charged to everybody. Food is so so, and it seemed overpriced to me. Good... More

My husband and I enjoyed a whole fried fish on the beach, during a stunning sunset. As the sun touched the water, several employees bade it farewell with some trumpted blasts from conch shells. The live music was great as well.
