Picturesque restaurant with ample offer. However the food was just Ok, not good enough to represent the magnificent cuisine of Mexico.

Great ambiance, good service, and the standard Mexican fare was quite good, but what was impressive was their selection of 'indigenous' foods-my friend's father, who grew up in Mexico, went nuts when he found Huatloche (that may not be written correctly) on the menu and ordered it for us to try. It was some kind of herb/weed cooked in a... More

we came to this restaurant as it had a tv in the bar section. This may seem commonplace yet in the small village of Tepoztlan finding a nice size tv in a restaurant wasn't an easy feat .staff was helpful, gucamole delicious, drinks were great some of the best margaritas I've ever head. at end of evening a large thunderstorm took... We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon - it was busy, but wasn't packed. As mentioned by other reviewers, the place is a riot of color and decorations - it'll keep you busy just looking around. We sat up on the upper balcony seating area - it was nice up there. I had the calabacitas rellenos de queso... More

Great place for a family meal! All entries are tasty and are well served. We got the lemon and chia water, just what you need to fight the heat! Don't forget to try the cecina, which is a sort of fresh beef jerky, it's salty but really good with salsa and their home made tortillas. The battered broccoli, cauliflower and... More

Excellent choice to try Mexican food. Is not expensive and the service is great. They don't have many options for vegetarians but you could try the guacamole any lentil's soup.

You can't say you've been to Tepoz without having had a traditional Mexican meal at Los Colorines. In addition to fabulous food, the interior design is something you won't want to miss. Long lines on weekends, so go early. Chile rellenos are super!

This is famous place, been around for a long time-- really authentic classic Mexican food, and not Tex-Mex by any means. The service is great, the waiters are part of the ambiance. Enjoy really nice versions of enchiladas, sopa de tortilla, mole, sopas de cecina, tacos de cecina con cebollas(roasted onions) and queso Oaxaca...2 are a full meal. The guacamole... More

Los Colorines was recommended to us in mexico city already. like the name suggests it's a very colorful atmosphere inside, friendly staff and very Mexican menu. We loved it!
