Our small group had dinner at El Olivo recently. It was a very busy evening with every table taken. Service was a bit slow but the food was very good. The arugula salad, with locally produced goat cheese and olives, was the tastiest and freshest...salad I had during my stay in Cuba. The veggie lasagna was also very good. So nice to have a change from beans and rice!More

We had a light lunch here, it was a pleasant space, service was quick and helpful. The food was fresh and well flavoured with a more interesting menu than in many Cuban restaurants.

This is a real gem. Lovely fresh food which is not boring. Restaurant can be busy at times but worth the wait.

We were met by Robert and guided toward a very friendly, comfortable dining experience. The mojitos delicious. The lamb delicious.

After almost 2 weeks in Cuba, this restaurant provided a welcome change - offering a variety of different and delicious dishes. It was so good we went back several times during our stay!

Sorry out of all restaurants we visit in all of Cuba this was the worst. You think you gone sit in the front of the restaurant and after going in you will sit in the back with no atmosphere. The staff things that this is...the restaurant and it is a privileges that you are allowed to be in this restaurant. The food was well... it was not good. We flushed the food away with a cocktail at the 3J'sMore

El Olivio belongs to a farm a in the valley so all the food is super fresh and organic. There is a video on a loop inside that you watch about the farm and produce while you dine if you wish. The menu is Mediterranean...and reasonably priced. Expect to pay 5/6 CUC for a pasta dish and 10/12 for meat. Food was pretty good, especially the rabbit cooked in herbs and served with very nice grilled vegetables. Its very popular so best to make a reservation earlier in the day if you don't want to queue in the evening, particularly if you want an outside table as there are so few. Service is professional and friendly.More

Food is great but very busy and very noisy! We really enjoyed our dishes: lamb shoulder and moussaka and an arugula salad with large pieces of goat cheese? We were very impressed by the food and the service but found it impossible to hold a...conversation. However, we will try going a bit earlier to see if that helps because the food is delicious!!More

Although we had to queue to get in (which is probably a sign of a good place to eat!) we were seated within 30 mins. Took about 15 minutes to get a menu. We were recommended the “lamb shoulder” and the “goatling”. Not wanting to...try goatling we both went for the lamb! The lamb did not disappoint! It was tender and fell off the bone. It was also a massive portion which we just about managed to finish between us! I would recommend but if you don’t want to wait get here early!More

The food is compleatly tasteless, we order what accordingly to them was their best plates and it had absolutely cero spices och salt. I orded a vegetable cream that was the only thing that was eatable adding some salt to it.The vegetables had been over...griller to the point they were burned, the meat (cabrito asado) was tasteless not even the stray dogs outside wanted it. My mother had a spinach cream with goat cheese, that wasn't a cream, the spinach leaves were served intact and the there was not a trace of the goat cheese. For the price, I could have got much better food else where. I recommend to go further down the street. The last restaurant on that street is a gem! Great food, great service at a very good price! (It is in front of a green house where the owner sels his own art work). Go there instead!More
