After reading the reviews on here and really fancying some fish & chips on arrival in Porthmadog, we wandered from our hotel to find this place. It's a very unassuming corner place, but we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Quite reasonable for cod & chips (two cod, a large - and I mean large! - portion of chips and a can... More

Called in when passing through Porthmadog when heading home to Anglesey last night after using this chippy quite often whilst living that way a few years ago and WOW it was still as good as we remembered, chips divine Fish was fresh and battered beautifully and the fried chicken was head and shoulders above the well known fried chicken outlet... Sometimes chippies can be a bit hit and miss...so we relied on local recommendation and were not disappointed. They were very tasty- nice white fish, crispy batter and good chips. What more can I say.......

Only downside was that newly trained staff forgot the order of people ordering and gave away our fish we had waited 10 minutes for.

Back street chippy, no seating area, staff very direct...its about the food. Fantastic Fish and chips, in a cardboard box not plastic, so they keep week. Cod was firm and tasty, chips nicely cooked.....No haddock :-(. Took them to Borth y Gest bay to eat them( as per another reviewer), only 5 mins away, parking and good location
