We arrived just before four and sat outside as we had our little dog with us. I went inside to ask for a menu and the girl asked if I wanted anything off the lunch menu then said you can’t as that stops in two...More

The restaurant/bar is housed in the heritage railway station with parking at the door, and is a welcoming setting for essentially 'pub grub'. You order and pay at the bar. The bar seemed well stocked, the menu offered plenty of interesting choice - we had...More

We stopped here as it was near where we parked and glad we did. The coffee was lovely and we particularly like the little round biscuits served with it. Warm and cosy place to watch the trains and station activity.

Went to Portmadog recently on hold and enjoyed two meals at this great cafe/pub. The food was hot and the service was very good. Can become a bit of a locals drinking place in the evening so some may find this intrusive but it didn't...More

On arrival, asked for a table for two, 'just sit down and when you are ready, order and pay at the counter.' I ordered the cod and chips, at about £7.50 Ok, not top price, but half cooked frozen 'cod', frozen chips and frozen Peas,...More

Visited Wednesday 25th April 2018. We ordered the beer battered cod and chunky chips with mushy peas. The batter was rather dark and the inside raw and runny, the fish when I could find some, was wet and barely cooked. The chips were even worse,...More

Nice place to spend the morning watching trains and view of sea. Perhaps even have a beer or food instead of just coffee if you are not driving.

Had an evening meal recently prior to travelling on the railway the next day. Menu varied, some items were not available but were told prior to ordering which was good as some restaurants wait to tell you when you are about to be order and...More

Come regularly to the bar, good pint and clean BUT the service is dreadful on the bar side. We always come between 5-7pm, there is never anyone behind the bar so you have to ring the bell. It would seem that it's more important to...More

Dear Mrs Thompson, feedback is very important to us and I appreciate you taking the time to review us. I shall pass this on to the front of house team in Spooner's as a reminder.

This is probably our most visited venue in Port over the last 25 years. Bar on railway theme ,due to location on the railway platform, which is very interesting whether you are a railway buff or not. During day can often see steam trains departing...More
