Don't pass Glenbarr - fabulous experience - fabulous food, mouthwatering delicious baked goods, local artists on show including Eleanor's fairies (made to order) , post office , general store selling local produce, garden centre with fabulous hanging baskets and a surprise around the corner - 3 Alpacas . Please drop in - we did, twice as I couldn't sample everything... More

There are new owners in this cafe, shop & garden centre. There is now an area with sofa seating in the corners of the cafe where you can sit back, relax & enjoy a coffee. There has been an increase in the menu prices.......however I was happy to see it was still the same lady cooking the food. The food served is... More

Invited out for the day with family and as I'd never been to Glenbarr Shop/Garden Centre it was suggested to stop for lunch - best decision. Deceiving from the front but once you walk through the shop, it opens up to a beautiful a lovely garden centre with fantastic cafe. Very bright, clean and spacious. There we tables and chairs... The new owners of Glenbarr Nursery/coffee shop have refreshed the cafe with a choice of traditional tables and comfy sofas, new art work and a great selection of baking and light meals. The new management gave us a warm welcome and have clearly put a great deal of effort into the cafe, nursery and shop. Definitely worth a visit and... More

Glenbarr shop, cafe and garden centre are now under new ownership. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. I recommend the home-made soup with cheese scone. And the home-baked cake is yummy - so many choices too. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with full capacity on a nasty wet Sunday at lunch time. I'm... More

Have visited the Kintyre area for a few years & eventually found this little treasure. We always have a light lunch when here & we are never disappointed.I enjoy the soup & sandwich combo. The soups are truly scrummy.... The service is excellent & the staff are friendly. I would highly recommend a visit here.

Enjoyed a delicious light lunch here. Soup & sandwich combo and toastie with salad & crisps all fresh & tasty. Wish we had room for a cake! Lady who served us could have been friendlier but her service was efficient. This place is closing for the season soon - although the adjoining shop is to remain open - until Spring.... More

Unfriendly Po-faced staff ruined our visit! Whatever happend to the "customer is alaways right" ?? The folk that run this place seem to do so at their own convienience - rude & unwelcoming.

Coffee shop through back of general shop and part of the Glenbarr Garden Centre. Good food and selection of homemade cakes . Worth a visit either heading to Campbeltown or on way back up from Campbeltown. Good garden centre.
