Visited Tarbert whilst on holiday in the area and wanted to go somewhere for lunch. Decided to go here as seemed very popular and once we tasted the food we could see why. It was excellent and the service was very good with polite and attentive staff. Very clean and great décor too which added to the whole experience. Definitely... More

Having arrived in Tarbert around 10 am on Saturday morning and unable to access our accommodation until 2ish, we were lucky to secure a table in this busy establishment. We both opted for breakfast rolls and these were served exactly as requested - my husband had crispy bacon and black pudding whilst I had two really tasty sausages. Both were... More

Had enjoyed an ice cream in previous visit to Tarbert and liked the look of the menu. We had steak pie and vegetarian raps both were very good and followed by an ice cream, service was excellent and helpful. The only grumble I would have is that the ground around the tables required brushed.

The place was nearly full at breakfast time offering value and good tasting food.. The specials board looked very tempting for later in the day. We.ve had great home made pizza there before and the view over the harbour is a prime spot. Well done Ca Dira

Recommended by hen-party coming back from Portavadie, who had the right idea. Very good food, wide range of choices - excellent fish pie and whitebait in particular [ nearly as good as my step-mothers]. Their steak pie was good too. Waiting staff very helpful. Nice decor too. BYOB fro the Coop, who have a wide range of choices, on the... More

One of our group is a regular to Tarbert and didn't know about ca Dora cafe. So don't miss out- highly... More

After a few drinks the night before we went for breakfast here and the full english was average to good ie no sausage , average black pudding , dissapointing egg, mushrooms were were a bit over cooked , v nice bacon. Having said that it was not over expensive. However the scrambled eggs at £2.00 were a steal. Light fluffy... More
