Local to me. Nice food and a good portion. Seems quite clean. Quite well priced. Good atmosphere in the pub. Would definitely return.

Have drank here many times over the years but never stayed at their b&b. Fantastic is all I can say. Everything you need perfect little rooms and your stopping at a real ale pub. What more could you ask for. And yes the breakfast was one the best I've ever had. Brilliant.

Second visit to the pub. The welcome, especially for the dogs was second to none. Good food. Delicious and generous portions. One of the best pubs I've been to.

We have only been here for a drink before heading into lye for a curry, the ales are great brewed by their own brewery, relaxed atmosphere, the food that was coming out looked good, but we haven't eaten here.

Busy little pub with some quirky seating areas. Unfortunately I have been more than once to eat (not my choice). Food portions always tiny, expensive for what you get & only just about edible. Beer is ok!. It can get very noisy with everyone shouting to be heard, which is great, if you like that sort of thing.

Good home cooked food, nothing fancy but tastes good and cooked fresh! friendly staff and good beer too, we will be visiting again soon! Word of warning, the car park is very small and policy seems to be block people in and then staff ask you to move cars when someone wants to leave. However there is a pay and... More

We booked here because we were a large party. It was the day if the rain storms 16 June. The owners were fighting a losing battle with the pub being subjected to flash floods. But they also had some minor roof leaks, but to their credit they struggled through it. The food was good nothing fancy, but good honest fayre.... More

Great range of beers from Sadler's (as you would expect from the tap house) and good guests. Excellent modern twist on classic pub food with great friendly service. Really worth a visit.

In a town where the curry is king, there is fantastic food here which, I'll be honest, surprised me. I had the fillet of sea bass which was very nicely done. It has all your usual pub grub, burgers etc, on the menu but also some food that you may not expect to see. This coupled with the beer from... More
