A superb well presented delightful dining experience. If you get a chance to visit this delight tucked away in the village of Shere, you need to make the effort to go

We went to Kinghams for dinner with some friends. What a lovely spot! We were seated outside and enjoyed a lovely view in the middle of their garden. The food was stunning - beautifully cooked fish - the hake was delicious - and a delicious chocolate mousse to finish. The restaurant was busy so service was maybe a touch on... More

Visited for dinner, fabulous meal and service, top quality food and drink all wrapped up in a quaint low beamed property, my only criticism is of myself as in why haven't we returned here before today ??? Highly recommend this establishment without any qualms at all.

Excellent atmosphere and beautifully presented delicious food. A very enjoyable evening with a group of friends celebrating a friends wedding anniversary. Considering the large group nothing seemed too much trouble. Will most certainly be going again.

What a charming location and beautiful quaint old English house! This lovely low beamed house was built in 1605 with a view of the original wattle and daub as you enter on the left hand side. If you are over 5'8" you will be ducking lots!! The staff are also charming and friendly making sure you are happy. The food... More

Have been here several times and it never disappoints. Staff are welcoming and the service is excellent. Food is sublime every time and the wine list offers plenty to choose from to pair with your food. Recently went for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have asked for anything better. I had the scallops and then steak -... More

An enjoyable Saturday evening meal. Scallops to start which were beautifully cooked and served with the roe. Very tasty. The bread was very good and immediately devoured. The main courses of sole and turbot were cooked well although the turbot wasn't served as stated on the menu. The accompanying roast potatoes were dry and over cooked. Likely to have been... More

We were a family of five including two 8 year old boys. We had a lovely lunch, with pretty much every dish delivering. Charming and refined setting, fairly formal. Staff were very friendly and greeted us with a smile. They did not have a menu for children but were happy to split a portion on to two plates.

After a disappointing lunch at the William Bray in Shere just a week ago, we went to Kinghams for a birthday dinner. What a treat. From start to finish the service was attentive without being overbearing. The waiting staff are professionals, not just local teenagers hired to look pretty. The food was delicious, tasty and unpretentious without being self-consciously 'rustic'.... More
