Large portions look very good but the fish is tasteless and batter is sodden. Chips are very bad. They are from real potatoes. You know this because of all the black bits on the chips. The venue is nice enough but no atmosphere. The only plus is that they are open on a Sunday but don't bother. Shame as this... More

My husband brought this home when we were all unwell a few weeks ago and we were all starving and really looking forward to it. It was disappointing. The chips were cold and just not nice. The sausage and saveloy were dry and dried out the only saving grace was rock my husband waited for which was amazing - the... More

We called in to Stobys on returning from a day in London - we were staying in the nearby caravan club site. The fish (cod) was freshly cooked while we waited and was superb - lovely crisp batter and there were enough chips for the whole campsite !!! Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this take away.

Stoby's is a fish & chip shop foremost. You can also sit down for a feed of your fave fish, mine being Haddock. I had to wait the customary 10 minutes & the £ 11.00 I spent gave me a ramekin of mushy pea's, a small pot of tartare sauce, a wedge of lemon, a small handful of chips &... More

I was starving hungry one night & decided on fish & chips so I went for the first time into Stobys in Denham, it was about 7pm & wondered why there was no one in there, it was a Friday night as well, I soon learnt why ..... it had to be the worst fish & chips I have ever... More

We wanted fish and chips take out, but on a Sunday. They're open so we triecd them away from our normal. In short very good. The portions for large "Cod & Chips" were generous, the chips almost obscene in respect the portion control. I'd share a large portion. The fish was large, flaky and in my view perfectly cooked. Equally... More

Don't go here... I live nearby - tried it out and found a long hair caught within my sausage and batter.... yes very nasty. Also the chips were rubbish - seemed like they were all very small and kind of like the last of the lot. When I went back to complain about the hair they gave my money back... More
