My family and I ate at the restaurant, the service was great, even though there was a large guided tour group in the same room. The room was very beautiful, but the food was bland. We came for dinner. As a starter we got a carrot soup, ( which was clearly microwaved ), and a salad with barely any contents.... More

A very nice place to eat, and a great experience: a very beautiful dining room, the food is quite good but the prices are a bit expensive. I Recommend the Hotel's own red wine (but also a bit expensive). The service was irrepressible, but we were the only ones in the room having lunch on a week day.

We went to visit Bucaco forest and at the end of our journey we went into this palace to take some desserts and coffee. The interior is like in a fairy tale and the waiter is extremely kind. The desserts were delicious and the price is comparable to the service quality. But definitely worth a visit.

The room is the star attraction. The food was very good but not outstanding. Service was OK. Wine by the glass was rather expensive.

This is a beautiful extraordinary building. The tiles alone are worth the visit. The restaurant is also pretty good though perhaps not as spectacular as you might expect for the setting. We were particularly taken by the strawberry soup and the seasonal produce on the menu. The service was perfectly fine, in fact they were very helpful to my friend... More

Tried this restaurant expecting a 5 star hotel restaurant experience. Food was very good, really enjoyed the sardines, great duck, dessert a flan store bought. Service unimaginable, looked like 10 lost human beings. Had to serve my own wine and water. The bread was frozen when served and replaced without any apology.

The Palace it self it is a pearl of Portugal. Service is made according to 5 star standards. Wine cellar is one of the most fantastic in Portugal.

Low quality food, extremely slow service. I'm quite baffled by the four and five star reviews. There may be a good reason for the low quality too: The contract for the hotel is up, and the restaurant must be part of the package. There's really no reason for the current hotel chain to invest in any sort of improvement. If... More
