Wonderful fusion of turkish spices/tastes with locally grown produce. We arrived without reservation and so ate from the starters menu. All were outstanding (eggplant salad, vegetable pancakes, smoked salmon, meatballs, potatoes), as was the tasting flight of homemade ciders.

We had a dinner here in our first day in Balestrand. It was recommended by a friend of us that we should try here. We love there ciders but it seems like the staff are not so nice and a little arrogant. Food was ok. We just a little bit dissapointed because it is not what we really expected. It... More

Located in a fruit garden where they grow the raw material for variuos ciders and liquors produced on the farm you find a seasonal restaurant serving fusion dishes. Much with fruit ingredients. Very Nice and helpful staff, most from the family, not only cooking and serving, but also telling stories and occasionally singing. An evening for both body and soul.

We loved this place and went twice while we were in Balestrand. The views are amazing! The dining area is in an all glass room with gorgeous fjord views. It's a short walk from the downtown area. The cider is delicious and the small plates style means you get to taste a lot of things. It would be fun with... More

After July 1 they can seek their full strength ciders, etc. We had the lower alcohol ciders and they were absolutely lovely. Plus we had lunch and it felt as if the meal was prepared for us. Very nice.

When you visit Balestrand you should not miss to have one of the home made Ciders at the Ciderhuest. My favourite was the Cider Med Malt.

If in Balestrand this restaurant is an absolute must. The dishes are really a turkish norwegian fusion, absolutely incredible. This was the best meal we had in the fjords. Plus, the setting is so stunning that in our photos of the evening it looks like we're sitting in front of a painting. Also the Ciderhuset staff grow much of their... More

Healthful, delicious food in beautiful surroundings. Situated in the middle of an orchard, the restaurant makes its own juices, jams, etc.
