First of all the location is amazing ! They also have a summer garden which is absolutely amazing during the summer time . The restaurant is located very close to Asolo , great historical Venetian city. Gorgeous place for a little walk after lunch or dinner at the restaurant. Chef Nino and his wife will let you discover the authentic... More

Really good food, high quality, interesting menu. Clean, light, nice surroundings. I had the guineau fowl and it was delicious, my companions had the lamb, the octopus and the 'Caopcollo Maialino' - all amazing. forget the rest, but everyone went very quiet when the portions would arrive. Portions not over-large, but smaller than a trad trattoria. we had walked down... More

This is a high end northern Italian cuisine ristorante. Excellent local wines to choose from, helpful knowledgeable staff. Good menu selections. All our six guests found the overall experience of dining at Baggio enjoyable and memorable.

Lots of good surprises in the cooking and each dish was a pleasure. Although the menu is quite compact the quality was outstanding. Our waitress was lovely and excellent in her wine recommendation. Our meal here was probably the best we had in a week's visit to Venice and the surrounds. The decor is pleasant although not quite at the... More

We were 5 and were able to book a table on short notice. The ambiente is very well done with nice decorations on the walls. The dining tables are perfectly arranged, striking a good balance between privacy and "socializing"with other guests. The service is very attentive and effective. The wine card including lots of Proseccos from the region is comprehensive,... More

I choose Locanda Baggio based on other Trip advisor reviews and had lunch there on Dec 20th for an early celebration of my birthday since I was home for the holidays. The food and service were incredible, We were talking about it days later, and my mom could not stop talking about her dessert. The place is decorated beautifully and... More

An Italian friend recommended this restaurant and we stopped for lunch. The food was good but not memorable. After reading the reviews, I expected the food to be amazing. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. The pumpkin soup was the best dish. Other dishes didn't have a lot of depth to the flavor. Was tasty, not amazing. We... More

Every time I come back to Italy, I try to visit Locanda Baggio, as it has been a consistently pleasant experience throughout the years. This year was no exception. For starters, I had some delicate handmade gnocchi with vary crispy guanciale (an italian version of bacon). My wife had two versions of beef tartare, also exquisite, while my mother had... More

Don't miss the opportunity of eating at this family owned and run restaurant between Asolo (for the history and shopping) and Possagno (for Canova!). We ate lunch here as a two-some and dinner with seven friends. The owner chief, and his wife and daughter, as well as another chief named Lucca, made out dinner the best. We arrived--an hour early--exhausted... More

Description
I was in Asolo last weekend and discovered that Ca' Derton is closed in the centre of town and has reopened as Locanda Baggio just on the outskirts of Asolo. Ca' Derton is the name of the house where the restaurant was located for nearly 20 years, so they had to change the name when they moved. The new restaurant is still great, and I would like to write a review.
