My family and I visited from New York and took our first cooking class. I have to tell you that the experience here blew my mind. I have never enjoyed 6 hours in a kitchen more. Simone, the head chef/owner, made the day. He was more knowledgeable about food than anyone I have ever met and he was outgoing, friendly,... More

We followed up our best meal in Tuscany the following day with a fun and very involving cooking class at this great restaurant in the little town of Lecchi. Class is limited to small groups so there is a lot of individual participation. Chef Simone explains the science of cooking with good humor and patience. Three hours of class followed... More

My boss recommended I sign up for Ristorante Malborghetto cooking class, he had done it during his visit in Italy and he highly recommended it. The location was a little out of our way from where we were staying in Florence but it was well worth the travel. The class is a small group setting, which is great because you... More

I've eaten at a numerous amounts of starred- restaurants and it's not often I get really excited about restaurants any more. It needs to be special. I'm not the guy that like the stiff, uptight places - I tend to favor places that puts the food in the center. And this place - oh my god - the food is... More

After a 2 week stay in Cavriglia - 30 minutes away - we chose Malborghetto for dinner on our last night in town. The ristorante was recommended by our hosts as "the very best ristorante in the area". They weren't kidding!! The place is very small and quaint. Tastefully decorated. And we were personally greeted and made to feel welcome... More

Wonderful meal while visiting Tuscany. Charming chef and staff! Food was outstanding. My favorite was nude ravioli.

We had the most amazing dinner here! Fantastic service and a great variety of local dishes to chose between. We had all dishes containing fresh truffle and were blown away. We are definitely coming back!

For me this is the best place in Tuscany to get something to eat.restaurant is not large but it needs to be booked two or three days in advance. But it's worth every euro.

This was a quaint place recommended by our B&B hostess. Everything from the Chianti, to the soup, to the wild boar stew, and chocolate soufflé was fabulous. We went with another couple who had the rabbit and gnocchi and everyone thought dinner was exceptional. Dinner with tip per couple was about $90 so very reasonably priced compared to the U.S.... We had a fabulous cooking lesson with Chef Simone. We spent 3 hours cooking a 5 course meal and at least 2 more hours enjoying our lunch with plenty of delicious wine. We learned about Tuscan style cooking and also learned a lot about cooking in general. This was so much fun. It was one of the best days we... More
