We chose Malborghetto as it was near our hotel. Simone Muricci met us at the door & gave us the choice of tables. We planned on rich food so Simone recommended a 2017 Valpolicella Fondatore, that was simply perfect. We enjoyed the full 4 courses,...italian style and left well satiated. Every bite was gorgeously presented & very tasty. Little gems like this made our trip worth every moment.More

Interesting menu. Friendly service. The pork liver and sausage meatballs were outstanding. Much of the food was more on presentation rather than substance.

Why did you call me at the table to make compliments for the outstanding lunch, asking me recepies of fegatelli and compliments for everything and then you write the food, except a course, is only show and not soustance ?

A true hidden gem in the Tuscan hills. The food and wine was incredible, and the service was amazing too. We both had different steak dishes which were cooked to perfection, but the outstanding highlight was the ravioli with a pear sauce that blew us...away. The setting is simply lovely. Will definitely be recommending to others.More

I've lived in Italy for 5 years now and the dinner we had at Malborghetto may possibly have been the best meal ever! The atmosphere was lovely - tables set up under a covered patio. Our server was just wonderful - he was so friendly...and attentive! We had some bruschetta as an appetizer and it was just wonderful - fresh perfectly ripe tomatoes were just delicious! For dinner, my parents had a Florentine steak that they LOVED, but what stole my heart was the ravioli in a pear sauce. I wanted to cry (or order a second plate of it) when I finished it - just so flavorful! The house wine was fantastic as well - and on top of it all, it was really reasonably priced! If I'm ever in this area again we will DEFINITELY visit this restaurant again!More

We just finished a month-long stay in Lecchi in Chianti, and this restaurant became our regular Sunday dinner spot. We ate here 5 times during our visit, and cannot say enough about Simone and his fantastic restaurant. We tried to order new dishes from the...menu with each visit, and we were always delighted with the food. But we did have to have the egg/porcini/truffle dish a few times because it's just too good! As one of our party is gluten and lactose intolerant, the restaurant made sure she ate safely and heartily. We looked forward to every meal and can't wait to return. Grazie Simone for some memorable meals!More

After reading all the wonderful reviews and as we stayed in the amazing La Fontanelle hotel near by, this was the first restaurant we visited. The location us nice the Interior very cosy. The staff and mainly the owner are amazing kind and pleasant. I'm...sorry to say that as a very frequent traveler to this amazing country , and a returning traveler to Tuscany and a food addict I was disappointed. Some of the dishes were good some OK and some like the fish with chickpeas was not good. to summerize this is not a place I will return to and there are better ones in the viscinity.More

We sat outside in the beautiful garden. The owner waited on every table, but the service was prompt. He very patient and he helped guide our choices. The food was fresh and delicious and the prices were very reasonable. You MUST go here for dinner...if you are in Chianti!More

We stayed in Lecci, a perfect spot for a "base camp" to explore Chianti, and the owners recommended Marlborghetto as a good restaurant just 200 feet away. We ate dinner our first night in town and were blown away with the food, the personal and...expert service, and the amazing ambience of Marlborghetto. It sits up against an old, historic church, the courtyard is beautiful, and the food was divine. After eating dinner we set up a cooking class with Simone, and it was a wonderful education in cooking and enjoying food. Simone just taught us how to make pasta, ravioli, and bolognese dishes, and he has changed the way I look at cooking altogether. We also expect to eat a healthier diet and enjoy it more when we get home. The uncomplicated approach to ingredients, the simplicity of the way he showed us how to cook, and the melding of different ingredients and flavors are hard for me to describe, but amazingly easy to remember. Simone's cooking excellence and persona, combined with our ability to ask questions and get simple and thorough answers gave us an experience (and a meal) that we will never forget. And thank you for introducing us to the Centellino!More

Went two days in a row, this is the best restaurant experience we had in Italy in many years. Price quality is superb, Simone runs a tight ship, the restaurant is way beyond basic tourist fare and every dish is well structured, full of flavour...and super value. There are no shortcuts and if you visit you will have a really pleasant surprise. We will return tomorrow night. Yum.More

Upon recommendation from our landlord in Radda in Chianti we drove to Lecchi (a 10 minute drive from Radda) for an amazing little restaurant with a nice patio and enjoyed a terrific lunch (reservations required) . The small village is so quaint with narrow ancient...passageways. The food and service was excellent. We enjoyed a special spinach & ricotta cheese ravioli topped with pecorino cheese sauce with pears…absolutely delicious. Also enjoyed lamb chops and my hubby enjoyed his beef slices with Chianti wine sauce. Their desserts were amazing. While we were eating we observed that the owner was also conducting a cooking class for a table of three. Each time they would go inside and prepare the next dish and then came out to enjoy what they had cooked. He explained the pairing of wine with each dish. A must visit restaurant if you are in the Chianti region.More

Beautiful setting and ambiance. The service was impeccable, led by the owner Simone himself along with his staff. Very friendly homey atmosphere. The food was fantastic, from the Bruschetta with truffles, to the pastas to the wild boar. Extensive wine list with fantastic choices from...the region and from all of Italy of all categories. We were 4, two adults and to adolescent boys, from Canada, and everybody loved it. Well worth the visit.More
