not up to much - ok taste, small portions, over-priced. Was very good in the past when we visited Modica but it has declined and is very touristy (coach loads pack in to make for a very noisy restaurant)

Food was okay, not the greatest I've had in Sicily. Good variety but no fish. Not expensive. Typical cuisine, efficient service

This was recommended to us by our hotel as "authentic " Sicilian. I suppose it is but that doesn't make it good. I didn't study the whole menu but it all seemed to be a variant on pasta/sauce. That's ok but maybe there's a reason why these are lost flavours ? (Sapori perdition) service was quick and cheerful. It was... More

Locals and tourists mingle, and although they are geared up for foreigners with a posh picture of each dish translated in a book still very authentic. The rabbit was memorable as was the thick fava bean soup. Very reasonable prices cheap for uk moderate Sicily

Had a good meal here - the food is tasty and the atmosphere is bustling as the tables are right out on Modica's main street Corso Umberto. It was also very good value - we had two courses each and two beers for around €35.

We were passing by from visiting church upstairs Modica Alta. Tables in the street looked tempting and hardly find a free one. Menu is quite specific with several pastas and meet dishes. There was nothing that would catch my taste on first sight. It was getting late so we decided to stay. Unlike to menu dishes that we ordered arrived... More

Walked passed this place two nights ago, looked really authentic but then ate there this evening and were disappointed. Service was very slow given it wasn't particularly busy. The food was OK although not that hot, it didn't feel like as much care had gone into preparing the dish as other places we have experienced in Modica. It felt like... More

The food is excellent Sicilian rural food, with many dishes that one cannot find elsewhere. However, its very attractiveness can prove a problem. We arrived just before a tour bus dropped off its passengers. The tour group was on a schedule and their arrival overwhelmed the kitchen and service staff. It is understandable that the restaurant would prioritize serving the... More

We stopped by Modica at lunch time and wanted to try out this place recommended in our guide book. We almost overlooked it as the place looks like nothing from the outside however once you get in you realize that it's a huuuge place. We were a bit concerned over the many other tourists also being there as it could... More

This was an excellent place for dinner. It is very large and busy. The menu was huge, and served traditional food. The anti-pasta platter was excellent, but I really loved the fave bean soup and salad with blood oranges. I should have stopped at this point, because I was stuffed. Food just kept on coming. The veal was tender and... More
