We ate here on a recommendation from a friend. It was not at all what I expected. First, it's huge and the cameras on the wall featuring all of the dining rooms made me feel like I was in teh Walmart of restaurants or something. The food was average, but not great and the service was adequate but not engaging.... More

Our guide introduced us. Truly local spot packed for lunch, mostly business people. So local, even the menu was in Sicilian, not Italian! Red checked table cloths, very large menu with pastas, more meat than on the coast,as well as fish.Great fun as it was so lively.

The food is very good and in abundance , great value for money which are relatively low compared to other places. Situated in the main road of Modica .

Family run restaurant in Modica on the main street with ample outdoor seating. We enjoyed our meal here (service could have been a little friendlier/better) but the food was very good and the value was excellent. They do not serve fish and specialize in typical meats, cheeses, pastas etc. Definitely make a reservation as it got incredibly busy.

I am a vegetarian and I have found eating in Scily to be a little challenging. So I give credit to Osteria for having vegetarian things on the menu. I had a peas and ricotta pasta dish that was at least something different from tomato/eggplant past, but it was a bit bland. My husband who is not vegetarian enjoyed his... More

We asked our hotel to recommend a restaurant in Modica... The first two they wanted us to try were closed as it is Monday... So they suggested this place.....we wanted good authentic rustic Sicilian food.... What an enormous restaurant - we had a table outside and there were over 100 people being served there and the same amount in the... More

Just arrived in Modica after spending 3 nights in Catania and we were very disappointed with the food. We ordered white wine which was nice but served warm. The antipasti was OK but nothing special. Both our pasta dishes were below average, do not order the broccoli and sausage pasta, there is a reason they haven't taken a picture of... More

Everything in this very typical restaurant is authentic. They only serve traditional recipes with local wines. The antipasto of the house was excellent, with lots of nice vegetables, cheese and dry meat. The pasta dishes where not very sophisticated but really nice -we had the ravioli with Auvergne and pasta with broccoli- and we also tried the stewed rabbit, which... More

Went there for dinner and the place was very busy, but staff were friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly, it was simple traditional Sicilian food and tasty. Loved the fava bean pasta. Nice menu that shows good pictures of the dishes, especially helpful if your Sicilian dialect is a bit rusty!
