Kalesma it's a Greek restaurant at the old town. Their food is TASTY and if you are in Malia you must visit it .

Greek restaurant tucked away in the old town. Nicely decorated and looks best at night time with the lights on. Food was good, staff friendly and the overall experience was positive and to be recommended.

Lovely little place in the old town. Reasonably priced food. Hidden away so need to follow the signs.

Nice little restaurant - very pleasant surroundings and unusually quick, efficient service. However, the food was not good. We have had brilliant chips in other restaurants but these were small unpleasant wedges (frozen, I would assume). As a recent reviewer has written, the kleftiko was shocking - came in paper, tough lumps of lamb in a watery tastless liquid. (Unfortunately... More

Have just left this lovely restaurant. Everything about it was top notch. Lovely attentive but not overbearing waiting staff. We have eaten out in 6 restaurants in Old Town Malia this week and this tops the lot.

We picked this place before went on holiday, via Tripadvisor reviews, which were good. However our experience was terrible. I chose Kleftiko, which I like, it came with chips which were black. Not burnt but the potatoes they were made from were black. The kleftiko came in greasproof paper. It was dry, but when it many other times it normally... More

Visited this place more than once, and it had an excellent menu and very friendly staff. I could definitely recommend especially as we were surrounded by loyal customers who visited every year and travelled from other villages to eat there!

Worth checking out when you are around. Great shrimp saganaki and grilled octopus. Don't forget about zucchini fritters as well. Very nice local wines to choose from.

The food is very good. The moussaka tastes very delicious. The soufflaki was a little dry. The traffic in the street is much to much.

Lovely choice of food, both greek and international. One of the best restaurants in the Old Village of Malia. Nice ambience, good music, good wine!
