My friends and I had called the restaurant in prior. They assured us that they could make gluten-free meals. We also had it confirmed by our waiter at the restaurant that the meal my friend would get was gluten free, since he is very allergic....Cut to one spaghetti aglio olio and a few hours later, we are in the hospital with our friend on his birthday because of gluten poisoning. When we contacted the restaurant and they refused to have a part of the scandal, although they offered of free cocktails as compensation. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy, and I advice other guest to eat elsewhere on your stay in Malia.More

Very nice seafront location. Food good although disappointing that a lot was missing off the menu. They get 4 stars though because the food was very nice and cosmos the waiter is absolutely fabulous and his job comes naturally to him. Very pleasant and caring...man and couldn’t do enough for us.More

We walked along the coastal path from our hotel in Sissi to Malia beach and in need of refreshment stopped at Elia for a drink. Elia is a lovely cafe/restaurant situated on the seafront opposite a small island. We were served delicious freshly squeezed orange...juice. Friendly staff and good location.More

We had a full English breakfast here which was very nice and included a glass of fresh orange that was delicious. It certainly wasn’t the cheapest breakfast we had but it was lovely We also have takeaway pizzas one night and they were very expensive...and didn’t have very much topping on them apart from lots of cheese. Bit disappointed after our lovely breakfastMore

We walked to Elia’s which was almost a mile from our resort, but definitely worth the walk. We requested a table upstairs which gave us a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset over the mountain to our left. We shared orders of their...saganaki and zucchini balls. Both were really good. My wife got the sea bass and I got the vegetable risotto, again YUM. We had a half liter of their house white wine, just okay. They didn’t ask us about dessert of coffee. I’m thinking that you have to order it with your meal. Anyway our server brought us some Rakomelo which is Raki with honey, really quite good. This meal was not only totally YUM, but also very reasonably priced. A definite 👍More

"Elia" restaurant is located in front of the luxury wing "White" of High Beach Hotel Resort on the beach of Malia. It has tables on the sand, next to sun loungers and umbrellas, providing food, lunch and brunches from morning to night! It also has...a beautiful terrace with great view, ideal for romantic evenings! The chef is great! Delicious food, fresh fish, amazing seafood, the nicest fish soup we've ever tasted! Fantastic environment, wonderful romantic lighting, impeccable service, reasonable prices. Those who stay in Malia on vacation have found the perfect place for quality food! Visit it, we strongly recommend it!More
