Food in the restaurant is really good, with some original meals. Service was a bit slower but it seemed that the waiter was just a student so it was obvious the waitress had more on her plate than just her own job. The place is...also in the main square, with a nice view, and there is a kids corner for families with kids. No smoking allowed. so I can recommend it.More

We had dinner in the back garden terrace that is situated on the old city walls next to the river. We had the 2 person mix grill. The food was good, very much recommend. Service was a bit lacking, not very fast and they forgot...to bring the soft drink my girlfriend ordered as a second drink. Also i asked for a double portion of grilled vegetables and fried potato's and i think we only got a single serving. (Or the portion size is quite small)More

we took a marinated rib in the restaurant and that was absolutely out of any idea, sickly, a lot of thick meat like a brisket, horseredish like a mud out of any flavor, "šopský" balkan salad ripped off concerning chees -- a cook needs upgrading...himselfMore

I bumped into Caramell accidentally when visiting Louny in autumn. This sleepy city offers several restaurants, which I rather did not visit. Caramell had something 'fresh' about it so I decided to give their nice outdoor seating area a try. And yes, it was a...good choice! The roast duck from the lunch menu was perfect, as was the Pilsner. And only for some 150,- crowns, amazing! Staff is excellent, very friendly and smiling ladies. The way it should be. There is a hotel upstairs, maybe I'll give that a try as well during one of my next visits to the restaurant. Definitely one of the places in Louny that I recommend.More

The restaurant is part of a hotel. It sits in the back of the building and there is a nice cafe on the left side when you enter the building. The restaurant is rather small, about 25 seats. Service is excellent. All staff is friendly...and helpful. When it comes to the food, I had a slightly spicy mix of meat and it is one of the better I had in the country. It has nothing to do with the undefined meat and vegetables you usually get. Quality meat (beef, pork and chicken) perfectly balanced with vegetables (beans, maiz, onion and bellpeper). I enjoyed it. I also tried the cheesecake, but I'm not too big a fan of it. I recommend the place.More

Great price, great staff, very nice restaurant and the food....oh my god. Ribs, ribs, ribs and coleslaw :-) We actually planned several trips just to go around Louny and stop there again.

Visiting Louny for the day we decided that this little hotel/restaurant looked o.k. There is a set 5 different meals each day of the week. The 3 separate meals were ample, delicious, served by pleasant staff in a quiet non smoking area. 3 meals, 1...dessert, coffee, and a pivo came to A$30 including tip. Beter value we have yet to see in Czech. If spending a day there in this beautiful town be sure to climb to the top of the steeple of the main church at the town square.More
