Based on reviews and previous visits, we went for dinner at the still beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. What a complete let-down. Waiters didn't pay much attention once we were seated, the wine card was dismal (rather don't order the plonk), the main course was served while we were still eating our starters with no apologies and while the prawns... The food here is to die for! Try the delicious coconut curries - my fave is the Waka Waka Rasta Pili Pili spinacha! Spicy and amazing! The chef is the owner, Sele, who trained in Malaysia I think. His delicious Zanzibari cuisine sees the restaurant packed every night - be sure to book ahead. Great ambience, good prices and every... More

Two friends of mine and I saw the Tripadvisor reviews and decided to go there for dinner. The prices are averagely, the food not better. The highlight came at the end, when the waiter counted our money on our table and that three times. That represents emberassing and unprofessional behaviour.

We walked here for lunch from a nearby hotel. Dining on the patio was so pleasant even in the heat of the day. The jumbo prawn was amazing as were the red beans and coconut.

Some well tasting food here with a beautiful view of the sea. The pilli pilli dishes are nowhere as fiery as the menu promises (i.e. safe to eat for pretty much anyone).

We went to dinner at langilangi and it was very good. Try the Zanzibari food, it is worth it. The octopus and tuna curry were also amazing. The staff is friendly and the view to the beach is great.

Pros - Very good quality food. The portions were sizeable and served with good presentation, which made the food more appealing. The herbs and vegetables used were fresh. The staff were very attentive and always smiling, a really welcoming atmosphere. There are seats right up to the beach on a raised platform where you can enjoy the sights and sounds... More
