Good food but rather limited menu. Pretty good service from staff. Dessert choice - only ice cream/berrys in sauce

The Cow is a great place to go if you want good food, cosy atmosphere and the usual New Zealand welcome and hospitality . We had seafood pasta and gluten free pizza - the fire was burning and we had the best night .

Wanted a not too fussy dinner. Great friendly service and inexpensive generous spaghetti portions, good drinks selection. Fast, tasty and a lovely open fire. Would revisit for a casual dining experience.

The Cow was one of the only places open for a late dinner and we are so glad because we LOVED everything we ordered. It was the coziest place to warm up and relax. Awesome service!

Little nook with a bar and fireplace, fun for a quick dinner and a spot to warm up. Excellent spaghetti bolignase, pizza was OK. Limited tables so the wait can be a pest.

What a hidden little gem! Probably the nicest Italian food I have ever eaten. The restaurant itself is great too, lots of history and a beautiful fire to warm up near. Very friendly staff and very reasonably priced.

Were there for a big group meal. Delicious pizza and garlic bread, got to try a bit of everything. Awesome setting, big roaring fire. Try not to sit too close to the door during winter as it can get pretty cold when people enter through the split barn door.

Really like the feel of this place. It was really cosy inside with mood lighting and candles. The fire was roaring and the staff are friendly. The menu is fairly basic spaghetti with different sauces or pizza with different toppings. The garlic loaf was great as a starter. Good drinks list including a mulled wine. It's a little tucked away... More

Down to earth serving and room but fine service and reasonable prices. Both possibilities to eat in and outside.

Had a great meal at The Cow - fantastic pizza, garlic bread and mulled wine. Cheerful staff, rustic and cosy setting. Recommend for a casual night out.
