True authentic Puerto Rican fare in a fun atmosphere!

This was an unexpected treat! La Estacion does it right. The food was truly awesome, and I have eaten in a lot of restaurants all over the world! My husband and I come to Puerto Rico every year and this is by far the best restaurant on the island of enchantment! The food is fresh and the owner/chef Kevin is so creative with his culinary skills. He is a trained chef and has been invited to several cooking competitions. He is very humble. Our favorite is the mofongo,... More

We were recommended to La Estacion by our host in Fajardo, and I could have eaten there each night of the trip. We started with a fresh lobster salad, I opted for the seafood mofongo, and we finished the meal with a delicious chocolate cake dessert. The drinks were also incredible - a freshly squeezed grapefruit mojito was my drink... More

There is simply no better place to eat if you are in the Fajardo area. We have been visiting Kevin & Idalia for eight years now. The food is unbeatable and every year the place gets prettier. Eating at La Estacion is like being at a tropical paradise. This year, we once again enjoyed gigantic lobsters, whole fish, great steaks... More

The wait on a Thursday was an hour and a half. The bar is cash only and takes FOREVER to cash out after ordering drinks. We walked away several times after holding out cash and waiting for over 15 min to pay and only when we walked away did they try to call us back for their $$$. Drinks came... More

Between the four of us we had a large queen snapper and a large lobster and it was one of the best seafood meals I have ever had. The snapper was not fried as is typically done here, it was seasoned and grilled to perfection, as was the lobster. Jason explained everything so well and our 2 girls had a... More

Stayed at El Conquistador for my birthday and of course there is no way u can make three meals there so we ventured out. The place was packed but we managed to get a table, the owner greeted us at the entrance which I thought was nice. The place was full of out of towners and we were the only... More

We chose one fish dish and one vegetarian; each was a plank load, a huge amount. The fish was excellent (glad I remember how to bone a fish), though the Caesar salad was a little salty for our taste. Fresh food, friendly service.

I barely had a chance to glance at the menu completely because as soon as the waiter came in with the specials I quickly picked the grilled snapper- and I don’t regret it! The sides accompanied it was a papaya green salad and a side of Arepa (YUUUMMMY). Everything was DELICIOUS and fulfilling; yet not so heavy. My best friend... More
