Cool, friendly cafe with great atmosphere and food. We had delicious burgers and some good house wine. Highly recommend. Desert menu isn’t great which the kids were disappointed about. But everything else was perfect.
You walk in and there is a dude at the bar, he looks like he hates you and does not even acknowledge your entrance into the space. There are no servers. There is this sign that tells you to sit down and order through QR...coding. No human beings involved, only adds to the pretentious and snobbish atmosphere. The owner is too cheap to hire sufficient servers. We sat down, looked through their pathetic menu, which was like nuts and crap beer. We got up and left.More
Wonderful place and exeptional ambiance. Food was mediocre, at best. During our stay in Lofoten we really enjoyed the wonderful food we were served. This was not up to standards, but the location and the staff really makes it a place to visit.
We ate dinner here twice as we found their prices reasonable and their food was good enough. There were 3 other restaurants in Henningsvær to choose from where one of them serve mainly fish dishes. Two of the restaurants had quite a high price on...their beef dish at 350 to 400 kroner. We found that too high priced. This is not Oslo. So we ended up eating in Klatrekafeen two nights in a row.
We had bacalao and burgers one night and the next night, we ordered a stew and chili con carne. Of the two dishes I tried, I liked the stew better. The bacalao was a bit salty.
Staff were very efficient. Price was very acceptable for our budget.More
This place has become a favourite of mine. Great atmosphere. They have truly made this into something unique. You see all kinds of people here, maybe that`s the secret?
Good food, great service. I place I will keep returning to
Coming back from hiking Festvagtinden I was looking for a place to eat that wouldn't mind me being a bit dirty and sweaty and climbers places usually don't mind that a bit.
The inside is very cosy and the outside area is just beside the...water so where ever you want to sit is just great.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. I chose the Bacalao which was absolutely yummi and the bread coming with it was a treat too.
I took a coconut chocolate cake as take away which was also very good.More
This lovely Cafe has a great veranda over the see, nice and friendly stuff and an amazing vegetarian burger. Honestly, one of the best I've ever tried. My partner had the cheese burger and he loved it too. Definitely a place to spot and have...a bite.More
Klatrekafeen (or «climbers café») gives a real Rorbu-feeling and local Lofoten vibe. It offers among other dishes a good burger and a superb chili con carne with enough spice too pleace a robust palate. Even though the burger bread was store-bought and cold, and there...was no homemade bread for the chili, the food fits the bill and then some. Good prices, but not the best selection of beer (it is a bar/restaurant after all). The staff appeared there after, and so the customer service is not really a focus. A great place to enjoy an evening snack and a drink among (new) friends.More
What a perfect place - very cosy restaurant looking over the harbour.
Me and my boyfriend both had the fish soup, which was DELICIOUS. Followed by coffee and cinnamon buns - we tried the vegan and all butter buns and they were both delicious!
The...coffee was great and the cafe had a great atmosphere.
The whole experience was mad even better by the lovely manager - Aaron. The staff were great and fantastic food which was reasonably priced!
Definitely do not miss this place!
Went for lunch and to get away from the cold winds into this super cosy place. Staff was nice, nothing too fancy or expensive out of the ordinary. The soup was tasty and came well presented with bread.
Fire place was crackling even I July....I imagine it’s needed even more in winterMore
