We heard great things from locals about Comedor Mari, but it was never open on the three different times we stopped by. Apparently, it is closed on Tuesdays, but it wasn't open on Wenesday or Thursday, either. We walked up to the house and asked when they would be open, and she said "tomorrow afternoon", but we left that morning.

Want to go eat at someones home on their front porch? You've hit the jackpot! All meals are appx 13$ US, and the seafood is fresh and tasty. The lobster was amongst the best Ive had, but they are most famous for their Run Down. It helps them if you bring exact change.

This was the restaurant recommended by our taxi driver for the traditional seafood stew. We were told that the name came from starting with what you had in the fridge and then you would 'run down' to the fish market to find the most economical fish to add to it. Great seafood stew but can't compare it to others on... More

As a chef and cook I visited this restaurant- if you may call it like that- I would say it was a cheap fast food for the road. The reason we went here is because hotel people and taxi drivers said it was the best place in town- totally false- the only reason I did not stood up and punched... More

Had a great meal here. It's well worth the visit. Anytime you can have a lobster dinner for $10, is a good thing. Great feeling eating outside on corn island

Even by Caribbean standards a wait of nearly 2 hours is too long! When the food eventually (lobster) came it was dry as were the accompanying vegetables. Our worst meal on the island.

We went here for lunch today. No menus. We were offered fish, shrimp and lobster. She really wanted us to order the lobster, but we opted for the kingfish and shrimp. Both were cooked in garlic butter and served with rice, salad and plantains. Presentation was very good. Food was fine. We had $500 cordobas out to pay the bill... More

Nice location with a pretty view. I am not sure why this place got such great reviews. Maybe they serve great lobster or fish. We had chicken. It tasted pretty good. The portions left me leaving feeling not satisfied. Pretty much the same plate of food you could get at any other restaurant on the Nicaraguan coast. I can't say... More
