We had the place to ourselves, so it was not only beautiful but peaceful as well! The service was excellent as was the food. The trout was missing, but the tilapia was great! Loved the surroundings!

This place was recommended to us by a Kenyan, so when we saw the sign while en route to Nanyuki, we made a U-turn and battled down a rough but short road. We were met first by some rare Colobus monkeys, a huge treat for me, since they were common on the farm I grew up on, but have become... More

This was the venue we chose for our last lunch in Kenya and it's a very imaginative place, like a big tree house built around and into a giant fig tree. Trout was off the menu because of a shortage, but the replacement was equally delicious. Service too was excellent and the prices very reasonable. I'll certainly return if I'm... More

This is a great place to have lunch in Nanyuki especially for travellers. The fish doesn't get any fresher as they are all bred on site. Ambience is also great under the glare of monkeys.

We made this our stop over on the way to Meru. At the entrance, a sign warns patrons that trout is not available. But the menu is abundant with tilpia and other dishes. The servings are generous. The restaurant is akin to an expanded tree house. It has a very relaxing ambiance with some areas for kids to play.

I love everything about the setting and ambience of this restaurant.Everything but the tree hyrax that seemed to be loitering around.(acquired a new phobia). All in all,the food was well done, and service was impeccable. Was a bit disappointed because they'd run out of trout,so we had to settle for tilapia. Looking forward to our next visit

If you enjoy eating outdoors and would like a fun take on it, this is it! This spacious restaurant is in a tree house. I enjoyed the trout and the rest of my lunch while being entertained by the Colobus monkeys that were in the trees and performed all kinds of antics to approach the interior of the eating space.... The food here is SO good. There's no trout this summer because of last years drought, but the tandoori tilapia was fantastic. Really cool tree house setting surrounded by trees with collobus monkeys. The monkeys sometimes come and visit your table, but you can also feed them and visit with them away from the tables.

I happened on this place whilst driving all the way around Mt Kenya, I started on the superb new highway to the East when it was newly built, many years ago. For me it was the unexpected novelty and the charming setting, as much as the pleasure of dining on freshly caught trout, grilled on a charcoal grill, with a... More

The food here is something you will never forget, NEVER! The restaurant is on a tree the fish is caught fresh - you can fish it yourself from the ponds - and their bread rolls have very many of us talking. When we go there, we have to carry some back to Nairobi for friends, it's that serious :) Special... More
