We had 4 people and 2 got the braised lamb shank and 2 got the Rocky Mountain Trout because we wanted to share their regional specialties. Both dishes were tasty and filling. Only turnoff was that because of COVID, there was no bread for safety...reasons. Just say there is no bread, no need to use COVID as an excuse because everyone knows greatest not any more dangerous than fish or meat. Otherwise would have given it 5 stars..More

We ate dinner at the Spotted Dog on a Friday night after a 10 hour car trip to get to Zion. We were looking for a place that was quiet, had good food and prompt service. The Spotted Dog delivered on all 3. The restaurant...appeared to be very busy but we had made a reservation and we were seated at once. A waitress promptly appeared and took our drink orders. The wine list was varied and the prices were fair. We each ordered the Ruby Red Trout dinner. The trout was DELICIOUS and the portions were quite generous. The sides were fine as well, but the star was the trout. Our dinners arrived quickly. The waitress checked on us several time and when we asked for our check, it was promptly delivered. Even though the restaurant was relatively full, the ambiance was very quiet and relaxing. No loud music or noisy groups. We enjoyed the experience very much.More

Sat on the patio and had a nice glass of red with my buffalo and elk meatloaf! Freddy the server was great. Wife had salad and an appetizer which were also very good. tight parking given the lot was also used for seating but not...a major issue as you could walk there from several hotels. Get eveningMore

We stayed in Zion area for the past several days, and just last night we had dinner at the Spotted Dog. What a great place. They had accommodated additional seating outside in the parking area, that was looking at the beautiful mountains around them. They...are right at the entrance to Zion. Ramiro was our waiter and he was so good. The meal was wonderful. They have great indoor seating as well, looking out a big picture window at the mountains. We eat out all over the country, and this was excellent. Very reasonable too.More

Hotel patio neighbors recommended Spotted Dog from their experience from previous evening ... and then we saw them there again! Food quality was good and pricing was as expected. She enjoyed the Filet Mignon evening special and was quality cut cooked correctly. He combined app's...to enjoy Crab Cakes & Salad. Crab cakes were very tasty with correct balance of crab to bindings. Wine by the glass was reasonably priced. Service best described as "fine" with waiter and assistant both friendly. A bit of back-up at hostess stand but could see that managing the reservations, walk-in's and take-out traffic was a bit of a dance. Describe as good experience in covid environment. Full bar available.More

We ordered take out from Spotted Dog two times in our 5 night stay at Zion. Both times you leave a message with your phone number and name and they call you back. The first time took only a minute, the second about five to...get a call back. Food is ready in 15-20 minutes! We really enjoyed all of the menu items we ordered. From the Meatloaf and Spare Ribs, to two pasta dishes as well as burger and veggie burgers everything was delicious and worth the menu price. Great service from hostess too. Highly recommend.More

The pasta purses were a new sensation...a mixture of sweet and savory. Very good! Bread was just OK. Good sized salad with some variety. Our server wasn't the best--didn't tell us about nightly special (s), we had to ask twice for salt and pepper, he...messed up the wine order for the table next to us, spent a lot of time chatting with people at another table while we sat and waited. Not sure we will return while we are in town.More

We ordered trout and beet salad. They were excellent. Wines were expensive, but they offered 1/2 bottles (375 ml bottles actually, not just half of 750 ml bottle). This was appreciated. Their beer selection was small, but Park City pale ale was very good. I...made reservation through Open Table, but they were not very busy and we would have been sitted as walk-ins.More
