We usually have had outstanding meals in the flagship dining rooms at our National Parks; However, we were disappointed with our very average meals. The evening was memorable nonetheless - we were dining with some of our favorite people, and the setting was spectacular.

The dining room of the Majestic Yosemite is grand, very baronial in feeling. The tables are comfortable, attractively set and far enough apart. The fairly low sound level allowed for good conversation. Unfortunately, the food is unimaginative, on the drab side, quite unworthy of the...More

The food is average, but the ambiance is unbeatable. Huge dining area with high vault ceiling. Good service. Piano player.

As we toured Yosemite, we stopped at the Majestic to tour the grounds and gave lunch. It is majestic and perfectly placed within the environment. Spectacular views!!! But the hotel has an unfriendly vibe- you know- they suffer through visitors to Yosemite. My advice, stay...More

We had brunch in the dining room and it was thoroughly impressed. The food stations were numerous and with the best quality ingredients. This is a must if you are in the area.

We've been coming to this magnificent hotel/dining room for years. The menu has remained the same for too long. I understand there's a new chef and the menu should be overhauled by the time we return in the Spring. That being said, the service is...More

To celebrate my Dec. 26th birthday, we drove our 2.5 hours to the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite, which will never be known as the Majestic to this family. The building is so historic, so gorgeous, really overwhelming so for that I give it 5 stars....More

We ate dinner in this grand hall style restaurant on Christmas day and left unimpressed. Server was wonderful, relatively attentive, and made good recommendations. Food was overly salty and over-priced. For example, $15 for a fig newton style dessert, $14 beet salad, $20.25 corkage fee....More

I'd recommend driving. You can park in the lot at the hotel free of charge and if the service is super slow, you don't want to be stressed out about catching the last shuttle at 10pm.
