We made this a must-do since we couldn't afford the pricey rooms. Just walking around this historic lodge is memorable. We splurged on lunch (half the price of dinner). The food was amazing - service just as much. Soak in all the history and be spoiled for a few hours! There are a few nice walking trails around the hotel... More

Read about the Ahwahnee Hotel ( now called the Majestic) Sunday brunch online when planning our trip to Yosemite. I was hesitant, however, because Trip Advisor reviews were mixed and it is $$$. ( these included reviews of the dining in general - not just Sunday brunch) Luckily, a friend and coworker of my husband's who's family has been in... More

Tried the salmon and it was delicious. A bread basket came with several yummy choices. Would definitely recommend eating here while at Yosemite.

We had dinner which requires reservations which I made thru Open Table. It's a very charming room with a piano player giving the dining room a good vibe. We had a bottle of their private label Chardonnay which was unoaked, crisp and very pleasant with our salmon and pork osso buco which were excellent in both preparation and presentation. We... More

After a day of hiking relaxing at this amazing restaurant was perfect. We had a large lunch so we both ordered the onion soup, which was amazing, and then we split the prime rib which was a perfect portion. Their Manhattan was great as well.

Loved our evening in the main dining room, but getting a reservation in season is a challenge , so plan early. There is also a dress code, so be prepared.

Had memorable dinner with wife and 2 teenage sons. I admit that I am a sucker for nostalgic national park lodges and this felt extra special. The location in the Yosemite Valley, the classic high ceilings and decor gave it a feeling of rustic elegance. You do feel like you are stepping back in time. We found our service to... More

We ate here once during our stay at the hotel. The room is fabulous. The dinner was lovely. We were booked for a second night and would have returned as a couple but the children favoured something more casual. Menu has a good range of fairly standard choices. Food quality very good.

This hotel is one of only two that are located within the park boundaries, and very difficult to get a room in unless you book well in advance. We went there for breakfast and it was amazing! The dining room is stunning and thenservice impeccable. Book ahead.
