We were in the Yosemite park until sunset and thought we would grab food before we left. We were cold and tired and very hungry. We heard the Majestic was beautiful to look at and had a restaurant so we went to check out. It...More

Spectacular location. This may be the most beautiful of all dining rooms in the national parks. Enormous windows set between monumental posts overlooking the best of nature. Food was pretty good, wine list was a bit limited for California, but overall this is the place...More

So. The whole drive to Yosemite, all my husband and I could think about was finally eating in the fancy Majestic. Our neighbors had been here a few years prior, and would never stop raving about it, so it was our number one priority. Well,...More

We went to the Majestic Yosemite Hotel for our wedding anniversary and was disappointed. The food wasn’t bad, but the chicken was a bit dry and the medium rare steak was VERY bloody. Everything was pretty bland and mediocre. Not terrible, but definitely not worth...More

My husband and I had dinner here. It took the waitress over 30 minutes to come to our table and greet us, even more time to come back and take our order. About an hour after we sat down, I was presented with a bowl...More

We usually have had outstanding meals in the flagship dining rooms at our National Parks; However, we were disappointed with our very average meals. The evening was memorable nonetheless - we were dining with some of our favorite people, and the setting was spectacular.

The dining room of the Majestic Yosemite is grand, very baronial in feeling. The tables are comfortable, attractively set and far enough apart. The fairly low sound level allowed for good conversation. Unfortunately, the food is unimaginative, on the drab side, quite unworthy of the...More

The food is average, but the ambiance is unbeatable. Huge dining area with high vault ceiling. Good service. Piano player.

As we toured Yosemite, we stopped at the Majestic to tour the grounds and gave lunch. It is majestic and perfectly placed within the environment. Spectacular views!!! But the hotel has an unfriendly vibe- you know- they suffer through visitors to Yosemite. My advice, stay...More

The enormous ceiling, the chandeliers, the massive beams, the flags, the candles on the table and the grand piano . . . it all makes for a dramatic background to a memorable dinner (or breakfast or brunch - we had them all). We were there...More

I'd recommend driving. You can park in the lot at the hotel free of charge and if the service is super slow, you don't want to be stressed out about catching the last shuttle at 10pm.
