Always a positive experience

Our go-to dinner spot when we want Korean, Thai, or Japanese food. A varied menu with something for everyone and tasty food is served with a smile. Good food + good service. We've never been disappointed.

My first time at this Sushi Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The service was good, and the food presentation was very nice...and tasted very fresh. Wow -- I will be returning to this amazing Sushi Restaurant in Vienna, VA!!!

Good food and great service. The restaurant has a nice vibe and you can see the guys churning out the sushi. I had the fried duck and it was quite good. Beer served very cold which is always a plus. Will definitely be going back.

Racist, horrible, service.

I have visited sweet ginger a million times pre pandemic. The food is average. Don’t go in, especially if your a minority, you will be treated badly. Service is horrible. There is a lady there that refuses to listen when she takes orders. She doesn’t give plates. She asked my father to eat out of a wok that the fried rice was server out of instead of giving him a plate. She was condescending and irritated with us from the get go. She (asian) was being really nice to the white customers in the restaurant in comparison to us (minority indians). I will never go back. This is not the 1850s and I have the right to be treated equally.

Pandemic & Post-Thanksgiving Lifesaver!

I hadn't been to Sweet Ginger in a year but yesterday I needed sashimi! Ordered Chirashi online and picked it up an hour later. It was ready when I arrived to pick it up and it was so delicious! I was glad to see patrons in the restaurant and a stack of pick up orders. So glad to confirm this great little place has survived.

Great service, good food, and very reasonable prices. Dinner for three, including the plentiful sushi combo for two, was $75 before tip.

My friend brought me here for dinner. We shared a Peking Duck Roll appetizer, which was delicious. Our main dishes were OK, but not great. My friend had to send her food back to be cooked longer.

This is a small local restaurant. The menus is varied , well prepared and delicious. The best sushi in the area!! It is a work of Art. Service is excellent. It’s very busy- can make reservations.

Sushi, Asian, and More!

One of my favorite Asian restaurants in the area. I typically go for the sushi, but have tried many other items on the menu. For sushi, some of my favorites are the Red Dragon, Omega 3, and the Mexican. From the menu, you should definitely try the Peking Duck Roll which is not sushi but a variation on Peking Duck served in the style of an egg roll. A great concept with amazing flavor. There are too many other dishes to suggest. They are all good. I recommend a reservation on the weekends or you will wait. Enjoy!

The atmosphere of Sweet Ginger is pure Asian serenity with tasteful wall artwork, a welcoming Buddha and black lacquer booths and tables. Service is prompt and cheerful. The sushi menu is huge and tempting. We chose the "lunchbox" that included miso soup, chilled crisp salad, crispy tempura veggies, chicken teriyaki, a crispy dumpling, fried tofu, white jasmine rice and three sushi treats -- all presented beautifully in a bento box. Another chose the delicious pad Thai. The total price for three of us was $46 -- a fabulous deal. Can't wait to return again. A sweet experience.

I definitely need to thank the gentleman for this recommendation. Pleasant atmosphere, lighting makes the mood. Sat at the sushi bar, watched the masters at work. Very skillful. Theres an extensive menu with beers and sake, fairly priced. They were doing the business, Take -out was happening. I didnt have to wait to order. They were prompt, friendly and attentive. I had a peking duck roll, first time ever....duck is highly rated with me, if it's on a menu, a sure bet I'll get it! I can tell you these four rolls mexician, red dragon, wasabi cream and crazy roll were delicious. Good size, eight pieces at $10.95 per roll. Good deal ! I look forward to returning and trying more on the menu as they have many Asian appetizers and entrees that sound so incredibly delicious. Theres plenty of parking too !

This was our second visit and, once again, it was a good experience. The decor is nice, and service is friendly, efficient, and helpful. The Japanese items we ordered (hamachi kama and chirashi) were better than the non-Japanese ones (pad Thai and General Tso's chicken). The prices were reasonable--$75 before tip for more food than three people could eat--although the restaurant was hopping on a Saturday night and the noise level made conversation difficult. Worth going back for the sushi.

My husband and I have been going here for years. They have delicious Asian fusion and sushi! I recommend the bento boxes and panang curry. Excellent service and ambiance.
